Just another example of how low the NBA has gotten. Nba playoffs used to mean, coverage in every news station, previews everywhere, prime time games watched by millions. Silver and the NBA really blew it.

Now the NBA is highly interested in adding an expansion team in Las Vegas and in Seattle.

The Hawks actually started in Bufffalo as the Bisons. They moved to then Tri-Cities, now Quad Cities, mid season during their inagual year.

The Lakers origin isn't Minneapolis, it's Detroit. They started in 1946 as the Detroit Gems.

St Louis is still pissed off of Tom Cousins and Carl Sanders. The fan base is also pissed off with Sam Kroenke, but that is a different story. They need a new franchise in St. Louis.

For all their "TOUGHNESS" what championships did they win ? oh yeah NONE, the most over hyped non-championship '90's team ever.

Younger fans cannot understand what the asg used to be. I've been watching since the 80s and can't believe they managed to destroy this super spectacular event

Yes. At the era you made this video Harden was capable of scoring 100 points under right circumstances

The 80s Pistons were labelled dirty, but the 90s Knicks were labelled tough and hard-nosed. The only difference was The Pistons beat Jordan and the Bulls. Had the Knicks done the same, they too would be labeled as a dirty team.

In the season that Wes Unseld won MVP as a rookie, the NBA scoring title was also won by a rookie (Elvin Hayes; who averaged more than twice as many points and almost as many rebounds as Wes Unseld). When Wes Unseld won the Finals MVP, he did not lead his team in any statistical category during the finals. Meanwhile, Elvin Hayes (who was Unseld's teammate by then) led the Bullets in points, rebounds, and blocks in that Finals. Hayes was drafted #1 overall in 1968. Unseld was #2. But despite Hayes' being superior to Unseld on paper, it was Unseld who won the MVP awards because Hayes was notorious for being selfish and an overall bad teammate (whereas Unseld was the opposite).

Bullets changing their name was the stupidest thing ever. It’s not a basketball team’s fault that communities within their region refuse not to shoot each other.
@Wallyworld309 ай бұрын
I'm gonna say it... Wes Unseld 14/18/3 shouldn't have won MVP his Rookie season. Wilt averaged 20/21/5 led the Lakers to a 55-27 record and didn't win it??? If they gave Wes ROY and DPOTY fine but no way in hell should he have won MVP. The reason they gave it to Wes instead of Wilt was a combination of Voter Fatigue (See Giannis) and the fact the Bullets only won 36 games and 57 with him.

NBA needs to bring the Legends game back to All Star weekend. It would be great to see Allen Iverson, Dwayne Wade, Ray Allen and all the other retired legends one more game! Big 3 is kind of like Legends League but mostly only the guys that went broke.
