Saturday Night Fever ..... great movie, that era was iconic. John Travolta did a great job in his performance as Tony Manero. Great acting. The entire cast did a fantastic job in their roles. The producer Robert Stigwood sided with John on how he wanted to portray Tony Manero. Have watched this movie numerous times and never get tired of this film. The Bee Gees music will always be iconic ... love their songs. ❤❤😊😊

Thank you for sharing this documentary👍 , I believe him leaving the band WAS the right thing, and Steve knew in his heart that it was, as he said before fame isn't everything, all I know is yes , they were called Journey, and thanks to Steve he took them on a Journey and when Steve left Journey was never the same, life does go on and Steve prove to himself that he could face any challenge, Steve is always going to be famous, he is a legend, and the greatest male singer in that time, he will always be THE VOICE , and I have the utmost respect for him, I still listen to his music and I always will, he is forever my favorite.

Sometime in 1995- 96 or thereabouts, The Eagles rolled into New Zealand. I remember going to their Auckland concert and there is my all time favourite male vocalist standing their on our soil singing. A poignant moment for me... Timothy B Schmit is an icon in my musical estimation.

Pat mentions about Tom Sawyer, and Huckleberry Fin, and the raft going down the river, so I wonder, did he see that movie about them in about 1973-1974?

@atatterson6992Ай бұрын
@@DunedinMultimedia2 Because, unfortunately, she has gravely insulted me and millions like me. I've never understood why music, film and TV stars insist on becoming politicians. They must realize that at least half of their fans will be "insulted". I guess they just feel above all that... A true shame.

I met Natalie Merchant when as teens we both worked in a health food store in New York. We hit it off right from the start and had heady summer that we spent every day together, I told her if we weren’t in Heaven we could see it. Finally summer ended and I was set to go to school in Cambridge, I begged her to come with me but she had just started singing in the band Still Life and she begged me to stay I didn’t. We kept in touch over the years as she hit it big, she got married and so did I. I had a career I loved and she was…Natalie Merchant ! Finally a few years ago I got a call from her, she was doing a show in my town and wanted to know if I wanted to get together for dinner? Of course We met at this little restaurant that I knew had a good vegan menu as I knew she had become a vegan. When she came in I swear to god she was lit in a beam of light from heaven ( she later told me it was just a street light ) At first it was kind of awkward but soon it was just like the old days with us laughing and her singing softly…I told her if this wasn’t heaven we could see it from here…she winked and laughed. Finally the restaurant was closing and we had to leave,I walked her to her car with us dancing along the sidewalk We get there and she kisses me good night and asked me if I ever think about her much I told her “ occasionally “ and we laughed she kissed me again and told me she still “ occasionally “ thinks of me and how things might have been I told her she has never been out of my thoughts

@@SoundbiteBio I haven’t seen Natalie since that night but of course we have kept in touch , as always it has been sporadic. She is obviously a busy woman, we won’t talk for months then she will call me three times in a weekend, she has always had trouble sleeping so often it will be late at night, I’ve told her that it’s fine Have to admit it is now causing some problems with my wife who I love deeply She used to tell people that I used to date Natalie Merchant , and I would joke that was before I upgraded , laugh and give my wife a hug. She liked that. She doesn’t do that anymore I noticed that she no longer has Natalie on her pandora music list. I sell antiques and vintage clothing, like Natalie’s mother did before she passed. I recently did a large show in the Northeast and I usually camp out in my transit van. When I mentioned this to Natalie in our last phone call she got irate and asked why I didn’t tell her before because she would have loved to have gone. She said it would have been like when we used to go camping in my old VW van as kids. She admitted to me something she often dreams about. I do too I have another show toward the end of October ( around her birthday) and it looks like she is going to go with me! Of course I’m beyond happy but I’m scared too. Probably the feeling of a recovered alcoholic that hasn’t had a drink in years when he finds that bottle he hid in the attic and forgot about
