You did not mention the dangers in Okinawa 1. Box jellyfish can inflict extreme pain. 2. Krait or deadly poisonous sea snake in the waters off Okinawa. 3 Geography cone snail is extremely poisonous if handled. 4. If snorkelling, beware of the deadly Lionfish in the waters 5. Finally very, very deadly , The Habu snake is a deadly Pit Viper with extremely toxic venom. Beware everywhere on this island. ( It's not fair or wise to praise somewhere and NOT advise the potential deadly things- very irresponsible.).

I walked in from Jiri at the end of 1999 for the Millennium. I cant believe how much bigger everything is. Tea houses and hostels seem to be everywhere. And Lukla airport looks like London Stansted compared to what it looked like 25 years ago😂

Hello. Thanks for documenting this! It's interesting & fascinating. I have an actor friend who's doing this trek right now. He's in pretty good shape, chose some awesome guides. I think he's prepped with the proper gear etc. He has climbed a few other places before. This is his first trek to base camp! Surprising you have your in-laws with you. If anyone were to have any kind of medical emergency, how would this be handled? How would you be found? Is there cell reception, or Sat phones? Since anyone probably has limited means of charging devices, do you carry portable solar panels in backpacks, or jackets? Is there special ways of powering up phones on the trails? I will share this vid with his people & hope to give them an idea of what he & the guide team is doing ❤❄️🏔️🦯🥾🎒🧥🧣🧤👖

Also besides the random diners & shops, are there available bathrooms? Running water?
@EcoFlightAttendantАй бұрын
Hello! thanks for your comment! as for emergencies, guides have service, as do the tea houses along the way. Even at times we had our own cell service, but med evacs are so common and the route is so popular that it is pretty routine for them if something happens. We had portable power banks, and many tea houses did have electricity. But the higher up you go, it is either not available or you have to pay to charge a device. However, running water was hard to come by, so expect little to no showers, and no flushing toilets. We were able to refill our water bottles (with purification tablets) with no issues at every meal/tea house.

Sorry no subscription from me cause half the time we could not hear you, You skipped some beautiful footage, and you need better equipment and the usage of the equipment plus all of you vlogs are under an hour your base camp alone should have been at least one hour. My advise to you go check out some nice long EBC Vlogs for major tips for improvement sorry

Thanks for the review. I was looking for an independent opinion. It’s been a while since you posted the review, but how is it working for you long term?
@EcoFlightAttendantАй бұрын
thank you! so for the sleeper hold, I really like the eye mask attachment to the seat, but the pillow sucks. it's way too big/full and it pushes your head forward. it might help to remove some of the beads inside (I haven't done this yet). I wish it had eye mask cups like the Manta eye mask (vs having the mask pressed directly onto your eyelids), so recently I tried wearing my Manta eye mask underneath the Sleeperhold mask, and it worked great, although I probably looked crazy. Overall it does allow my neck to rest, although it can be cumbersome to set up if you are in a middle seat and people are already seated next to you. I lost my Turtl pillow years ago, and think I might reinvest in another. That combo with the Sleeperhold eyemask attachment with Manta eyemask might be the trifecta 😅 For Timeshifter, I really do think it helps! I don't think I will keep the subscription but only because I know the steps to take given my usual route. Jetlag is unavoidable, but it does seem to make it a bit more manageable. If you have any other questions lmk!
@cameronj.3575Ай бұрын
I swear by the Manta Mask too (for the complete darkness it effortlessly provides) & just got a Sleeper Hold. It’s interesting that the sleeper hold has two little Velcro squares on the outside, and I found that actually the Manta eyecups’ Velcro (if you pull them off your regular mask) will adhere to them perfectly, although of course, this is on the outside/wrong side. I have a roll of iron-on Velcro fastener, and I might put two little squares on the opposite side (inside of the Sleeper Hold mask) to make it possible to keep Manta cups permanently attached.

hello, im planning to go in December. which is coming soon (last minute trip) - would you recommend it? is the beach too cold for me to swim and frolick around? even if the beach is too cold, will the other attractions mostly will be closed? thank you btw!!
@coolbrotherf1272 ай бұрын
Depends on what you think is "too cold". The weather is usually around 70°F there so it's not too chilly unless it's cloudy and windy. The Pacific Ocean is always cold but if you go on a sunny day it'll probably still be pretty nice on the beach.
@EcoFlightAttendant2 ай бұрын
December is definitely cooler, not quite beach weather. but people get in the water year around with a wetsuit. most things should still be open!
