Thanks once again mate for this output. Always enlightening. Just wondering though, if I wanted to have several streams of business, would that call for different websites, or one could cater for them all? Thanks.
@tamukart33592 сағат бұрын
Nice video but however did you also factor that majority of the big businesses are already doing this...The question is how do we find a cost effective solution on websites for Small to Medium enterprises because some businesses can not actually afford to take out 1000 plus for the creation of a website let alone maintenance costs from their budget without it significantly impacting their output...lets talk about how we can help the smaller guy compete in a sustainable way...a good example that cooking business lets look at the opportunity cost of that website it cold buy a whole lot of cooking supplies that could go for quite some time

I am so happy to see a fellow Zimbabwean talking about homeschooling success. Thank you for doing this video. I am strongly leaning towards homeschooling my children but i'm stuck on curriculum choices. If its okay with you, may you kindly share which curriculum/books you used when homeschooling your children.

Good to hear it’s working out for you. However, the reality on the ground is that the Zimbabwe economy is one of the worst in the world. One of the few sectors doing well is real estate, which is mainly driven by the diaspora. The unstable currency, dilapidated infrastructure including hospitals, roads, etc says it all. The vast majority of the population has been reduced to hustling as the formal sector is negligible. So many have left the country, whilst so many others are desperate to leave, even risking their lives in the process.

In all the lessons and experiences that you learnt you are a determined young man. I salute you. When you come second 3rd time around, read Prov: 16:3. Meditate on that. Love you. Concerned mum.

When I talk to my friends in South Africa, I hear them say a lot of negative things about their country and the direction its going . To me , it sounds like they are being overdramatic because their economy is much bigger and better than ours, but then I remember that these people know their country better than I do and I think its the same with us Zimbabweans. We know our country better than outsiders ever will so while there is a lot of negativity, there is context that outside visitors, African or non-African, will not appreciate. I love Zimbabwe but I don't think our negativity comes from self hate or not believing in ourselves but precisely because we know how good Zim could be. if we are being 100% honest, there are a lot of things that the average citizen cannot change with 'positive mindeset' some of our challenges need us to go back to the drawing board on a national level (IYKYK).
@tapiwachipepera783718 сағат бұрын
I like the conversation you had with your son. It reminds me of the conversations I have with my father as well on the idea of staying in Zim vs pursuing opportunities elsewhere. What I have observed is that leaving Zim is usually better for younger people however there is a growing group of older generations who lived abroad saying that Zimbabwe is better and I think it comes down to stages of life. As people grow they want more autonomy and freedom, which is why you find that older Zimbabweans tend to preach about building businesses in Zimbabwe.... but that's usually using money they earned abroad as start up capital. For some of us who are young and starting out it seems hypocritical to have someone who established themselves outside of Zim tell us that Zim is sunshine and rainbows. I love my country but it is a challenging place in general, but especially for the youth.

Thanks for the video, brother. We were talking about this 2 days ago. This is the best time to occupy the space and do something. Those who sell sadza made and are still making money from those construction workers doing the roads. I am in the process of setting up a project management company for diasporeans who are building or have projects in Zimbabwe. Another way to find opportunity is look at what were are importing most, and make it available locally.

A lot of people ARE poor ( fact - fiction ) i have no followers, no influence, lets talk facts, banks don't work, hospitals are in a dire state, running water is running out( pun intended ), corruption is rife, lets not talk unemployment rate, for home owners mostly elderly and likely also unemployed default chargers are about $50 a month for city council services not delivered - and interest is charged on them. The average 50 year old lives with parents, excluding the diaspora based, they cannot afford homes. A high percentage of our elderly are resorting to vending, now in places i grew up where there was no prostitution young girls are in it now, pa Machipisa, there is a ever increasing drug problem. We criticize Africans coz they know better they live in similar situations mostly, Europeans come to go, they are unfamiliar with this. The discouragement is political not societal

Hi mkuru, Ko homeschooling makaaisvitsa to what stage for your children? Which subjects needed tutors in general? I am getting ideas but I need more info.
@ruwaorganicКүн бұрын
Mostly done without tutors. The eldest 2 did not have tutors for most of their home education. The other 3 had tutors in Covid and soon after but back to usual teaching. Two fully home educated until 16 and two until 14. One who is 13 is still full time home educated. You do not need tutors to home educate but if you need some you find any according to your needs,

Just a note. The comparison between the two schools is primary vs secondary school. The percentages for primary school were good for a primary school. Most primary schools are average or below. In high school which is the second school the percentages are higher. Tip for people looking for schools always compare against national and local area average. And make sure you are comparing primary to primary.
@ruwaorganicКүн бұрын
Ok. I didn’t realise that it was primary and secondary. The point is most deprived areas have bad performing schools generally. Thanks for pointing that out.
@charlenemakk6790Күн бұрын
@@ruwaorganic i generally agree with the points you made. I just was cautious of people looking for primary schools to expects the 40 something percentages when national average is around 7%. I personally have gone with private option due to the reasons you mentioned

We live in a great catchment(postcode privilege ok paid for), for starters, private tutoring off and online, then 7 8 undergoing assessments and career paths couching a big deal, but community and associates play a big part if one is not self driven, so 👍🏾 topic, more of polar perspectives…🫵🏾

Currently in Harare, been asking myself the same question. The cost of living here is so high. I am Kenyan and things here are like 2-3x the price of things in Kenya. It's even worse by the casual use of the USD. I keep converting to KES and getting shocked. I am also seeing lots of fancy high end and brand new cars. I don't get it! The hotel I am staying has a chicken Inn nearby and it's packed from 7 am to 9 pm.

I agree with on that most of the time some people want to find someone to blame and not take responsibility. However- there are cases when the government should make better policies. People speaking out about issues can help bring light to what could be improved. But ultimately the no one is going to come and serve you. The world is brutal

Wherever the topics of Zimbabwe come up people always thinks ecominics🎉, its different bro, I understand you grew up poor but the new Zimbabwe is far much poorer than before Year 2000, or lets say before Esap, Drc war and farm invasions. Usual people who are building new mansion are either peoples in diaspora or people connected to the government. You have opportunities when you are political connected, to some extent you are right trying to put positivity on Zimbabweans but for Zimbabweans to change, most things have to change, rule of law, corruption and fear of the government
