Thanks once again mate for this output. Always enlightening. Just wondering though, if I wanted to have several streams of business, would that call for different websites, or one could cater for them all? Thanks.

If they're related one website might work, if not different websites

Nice video but however did you also factor that majority of the big businesses are already doing this...The question is how do we find a cost effective solution on websites for Small to Medium enterprises because some businesses can not actually afford to take out 1000 plus for the creation of a website let alone maintenance costs from their budget without it significantly impacting their output...lets talk about how we can help the smaller guy compete in a sustainable way...a good example that cooking business lets look at the opportunity cost of that website it cold buy a whole lot of cooking supplies that could go for quite some time

Here is a different perspective based on personal experience. I started my business around 2010 working by myself and at the time social media was not a powerful marketing tool, people used newspaper classifieds and it was very expensive to run a 1 day advert, in short, it was almost impossible to find business. I was one of the first Zimbos to open and consistently run a Facebook business page and honestly at the time I had no idea what I was doing, I just enjoyed the aesthetic of my page, seeing the small orders I was doing etc. One advantage I had was that my brother had just started his photography business and this was 2012, I would board combies to go to his workplace, get a few pictures of every job I did and post them. It didn't matter if it was small quantities because to the client it looked like big orders. Fast forward to today my last post was probably 7 months ago. The algorithm recommends my work ahead of the "big" corporates, it's not that difficult to compete with them on social media and especially Google. To this day I don't have a website. I'll give one example of a retail shop I ran for about 4 years. So I ran a few Fb sponsored ads when I started in COVID and I would always document the results, my main demographic customer was 18-24 years. From that I went on Tiktok and saw the potential of it as an app and quickly engaged creators before they blew up, one of them was Theo ( Mai Clifford) who at the time had only 10 000 followers but his videos were hitting 100k views it was amazing. Corporates had failed to see the opportunity so I went for it. I also looked for models of that age bracket and I would offer my young customers free clothes, a shoot and $30. In no time I had branded the shop to suit that age group. I used the other pictures to run $24 of sponsored ads per week and our sales increased by about 40%. I also have big corporate clients who I suggested at the time to work with content creators and I showed them the numbers...they were used to their traditional approach, it took them two years to catch up after seeing many small businesses make it big using social media and content creators. Today I have a team of 18 employees and believe it or not I do not go out looking for clients, we actually work night shift at least 3 days a week because of demand. Social media has given small players a huge opportunity and it's very easy to stand out and compete. Huge corporates have a slow reaction time, too many hurdles in their decision making process. Lastly I always tell people your social media page is no different from having a 10 story building...at least you can make it look like that. You should have seen pataishandira 2018, vs our social media presentation. We looked the part online, had a great product but worked in a dump 😂😂😂.

I forgot to add that when I ran the shop, we would record our sales and built a database of names, numbers, and how you got to hear about us, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Word of Mouth, Walk In, Google? We quickly found out Instagram was where our demographic was and we focused on exactly that. Information is power, that's why Facebook makes money, we sell our information to them.

@@inkrdb87 your story is quite inspiring and honestly true social media really did give power to the small guy and Facebook definitely revolutionized the game I always tell people that it is a great source of gaining a customer base and will always be relevant
