I really love your videos. Not single handedly focused on SpaceX, no crazy hype, just a bunch of facts, updates, and a broad range of the industry participants!

Neutron was announced in early 2021. If they can launch by the end of 2025, that would be just about 5 years of development for a new partially reusable medium lift rocket. (Of course the first gew launches will probably not include reusability.)

If they don't call the upper stage of neutron a neutrino idk what i will do. Neutrons real benefit is having a lighter upper stage (or at least the possibility of this) than falcon 9 so it could be used for high energy orbits like falcon heavy as opposed to stsrship which without refueling is just for LEO.

That is one big engine for a medium lift ship. They just have to nail the RTLS, then they are set. Thanks for the episode!
@bluesteel8376Ай бұрын
You said 9 engines on the first stage and the text on screen said that too, but the graphics shown on screen only show 7 engines.
@Thirty-TwoАй бұрын
That's because Rocket Lab originally displayed their Neutron concept with 7 engines on the first stage. As the design was refined, the legs were changed, the engines increased to 9, and rocket got less stubby. Plus, the fairing design has changed since the Neutron animation. So, at this point with the design, 9 engines is the correct figure.

Yay! A video about rockets thats not starting with Space X. I like hearing about all the other companies that are working on amazing projects

I was wondering why Rocket Lab's stock has been blowing up lately. It is up close to 200% since I bought it. I hope their success continues. And their cool recoverable booster looks just like Blofeld's spaceship in "You Only Live Twice"

Awesome episode, thanks! Neutron might be reusable much faster than the 5 years it took F9 to do it as Rocket Lab is involved with the Blue Ghost propulsive lunar lander already delivered i.e. they have already a lot of knowledge on propulsive landing.

If RocketLab had a Patreon, I'd give money to it. Anything that help break the monopoly of SpaceX, for both political, national security, and economic reasons

My congratulations to Lockheed Martin on the latest milestone for their subsidiary company, Rocket Lab; purchased in 2018 from New Zealand (Peter Beck needed $300 million for "Electron" Finance). As a New Zealander, that an American company devoured New Zealands own home-grown private launch service venture, disgusts me. However, my best wishes to the unfortunate Peter Beck; his "New" American company, Rocket Lab, is proving invaluable to promoting his "New" Host Nations' National Security, the United States of... Trumperica. (...is that right...?) Not much help to your former compatriots here in New Zealand, is it now; hmm... expat Kiwi Peter Beck? Hello from New Zealand (Aotearoa to some here). Remember Us? 👋👤🇳🇿🦎🌴☀️🌊🌏🇺🇸👴💰🚀⁉️
