that suspension was something not even motorcycles would use that way, the tubing was 3 feet long rearwards, and that should have given a straight spur,,,,? and 1/2 „ 10 mm screws used as suspension adjustment,,,,the leverage sideways at sucha heavy car on such flimsy bolts is a nightmare, that is also why thise 2,4 mm(1/10“k brackte sheet metal bent already! imagine a car in a turn with 1m leverage and 1/2 a ton levering outwards…..kkkkki assume the airbags were holding the axle in plaxe, better you check them too!

Beautiful work Mike. It works as it should and you even got the pinion angle right. Of course with your engineering experience I fully expected it would be right - even if you don't know what you are doing, lol.

It amazes me the bad work that people are able to do and get paid for it. "We can't afford to do it right the first time, but then complain when we have to do it again!" Good on you, Mike. Beautiful design ,,,, excellent execution!

I really don't know what I'm doing, but I don't think I've seen a panhard mounted to a link before, seems sketchy to me to put all the lateral load of the car on it. I'm curious how much the rear axle moves toward the back when the suspension cycles, it looks like at full drop the links are at a pretty steep angle. I'm sure it can't be too much, and the yoke will compensate either way
@FrankAustinLowney41 минут бұрын
This is why I asked about using a Watts link instead. The Watts link might be a better solution avoiding tire contact with fender/fender skirts, would be a lot more work and the bill would be appropriately higher.
