I don't believe they can use the Sinbad Theatre and Poseidon's fury buildings anyways as I've heard there's major structural issues. They didn't just spend all kinds of money refinishing the facade of Poseidon's fury only to close it down shortly afterwards. So I doubt it'd be a simple "retheme".

I still think it would work great there and fit in well, but could see it sharing the land with other franchises like Mario does with Donkey Kong. Since the land is already split into two distinct areas Hyrule could take over the Lost City portion and then something like Animal Crossing take over Sinbad's Bazaar, maybe Kirby in there as well. Shrek could work for this as well with one side being the Swamp and the other being Far Far Away. For the other Nintendo properties mentioned, I don't see it happening but would love to see a sci-fi/space theme Nintendo land that incorporated Metroid, Star Fox, and F-Zero (Pikmin and Kirby could fit in as well since they have space theming and elements in their series too.) Wicked, with it being based off the book series, which themselves were based off the Wizard of Oz books, would keep in with the literary theme for the park.

Im a HUGE Lost Continent fan, and I’ve never played a single Zelda game and I know nothing about Zelda (wouldn’t recognize or appreciate a Zelda land). Now I know I’m the extremely rare person who’s become a fan of Lost Continent, but the areas theme is Incredible and it’s the best themed area in ANY THEME PARK IVE EVER BEEN TO.

Spongebob would pull well somewhere in the parks. Understand that it may never happen due to Minions, Dreamworks, and Dragons being in the parks. Hot take but I believe Bikini Bottom and crew would do well in the toon lagoon space.

I doubt this would ever happen but I want universal to get the theme park rights for the "Bad Boys" movie franchise and make a police chase coaster, or the race to the hospital at the start of Bad Boys III.

Man I honestly would hope to see a Zelda land in the continent area and a Kirby land as well! People will go crazy! Plus imagine the possibilities for Kirby snacks and other bites! Also wicked can still be added to epic next to the wizarding world

I don’t think Zelda will be going in Lost Continent. Too Lagoon hosts an old IP that does not sell with two great rides. I expect Zelda will get TL full area (including the abandoned theater), it will probably demolish Popeye’s water ride and keep the other one for a Zora log flume. Hyrule castle will have the main ride while Popeye is going to be for Kokoriko village and/or the great Deku tree and a small ride for families. Wicked would probably make it in Universal Studios, it would be weird to have 3 castles-like structures in 1 park (Hyrule, Hogwarts, Emerald city)

People have been asking for a Luigi's Mansion type ride, but I think a spooky dark ride would actually be a great excuse to introduce Metroid in the parks, instead.

I think Pokemon will be their priority, especially with it hitting 30 years next year and the Simpson's having to go. I hope they fix the Jurassic ride first. How do you let a franchise with 3 movies in your top 5 all time grossing fall apart like the FL ride is? There are rumors that they're testing the flyers again so maybe that hints that they're turning their attention back to the other parks. Personally, I think they deal with RipRide and Jurassic, and then focus on removing Simpsons and replacing it. Then they can start thinking about what's next. I think Lost Continent isn't an eyesore and isn't really a priority, all things considered. I would love the mash-up idea but I'm wondering if they'd be better served splitting the land up and having half go to a new Shrek land and half go to Zelda.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but if they do get rid of men in black/simpsons. I would like to keep something space scifi related in that area as I don't know much else universal has in that theme. That being said a combination of a starfox/f-zero/metroid mini land would be awesome.

I think the reason this project has been in development for so long is because it’s much larger then we currently think. Lost Continent isn’t the only land going away, so is Seuss Landing. A land based off a racist figure that has mostly been forgotten by today’s youth. With the removal of those two lands, three lands would be added. Animal crossing, Kirby, and Zelda. It would have that original idea of the split up Nintendo land but with those three properties, and it would change as you walked through. It would bring a much needed revitalization to the right half of the park.

I find it puzzling that literally everyone assumes Legend of Zelda is gonna replace The Lost Continent despite zero evidence. The same can be said with Pokemon replacing the Simpsons land. I know this is WAYYY OUT OF THE BOX, b u t, Scott Cawthon once teamed up with a company to TRY to sell a fnaf darkride to amusementparks, that was eons ago BUT since Universal owns Blumhouse and they made the Fjaf movies maybeeee we could see a ride some day..? Im not saying it needs to be THE replacement for Hollywood Rip Ride but maybe another location PLUS the movie was a HIT + getting a sequel in December 5th this year

Zelda would not require the entire land to be bulldozed at least, its a beautifully themed and sculptured area that I just love to meander around even without the attractions working, such a shame if they got rid of it all instead of repurposing, even a God of War land would work here

When you think about it, Shrek fits in pretty well in Islands of Adventure - not only is it a parody of popular fairy tales, but it’s based off of a picture book by William Steig! Also, you sounded pretty excited about the prospect of a Splatoon attraction. Honestly, I think it’s only right to make it a shooter attraction like web slingers.

I might not be in popular vote when I say this. But I think Wicked would make more sense then Zelda. Islands of Adventure is a park based on literature that became visual media (movie, tv shows etc). Wicked is inspired by the Wizard of Oz which was literature made into a movie. This would continue that theming.

alright, look-if you can take avatar, a movie that, let’s be honest, nobody actually cares about beyond “oh, that looked kinda nice,” and somehow turn it into an incredible, immersive land that people love, then zelda? oh, zelda is a no-brainer. we’re talking about one of the most beloved, iconic franchises of all time. decades of lore, unforgettable characters, breathtaking environments-you’ve already got castles, villages, forests, dungeons, all built-in, ready to go! people have been dreaming about stepping into hyrule for years. but avatar? you really think people were clamoring to walk around pandora? no! yet somehow, they pulled it off. they made it work. and not just work-it’s amazing! people go nuts for it. so if that can happen, if avatar can be turned into a top-tier theme park experience, then zelda? it’s a guarantee.

Honestly, if Studios gets a Nintendo land then I’d really hope it’s a Nintendo Spaceworld that covers the World’s Fair to Simpsons areas and replaces them with models, shops and rides based on the Space properties: F-Zero, Starfox and Metroid. Metroid is a shoe-in to replace the aging MiB and could be a Galactic Federation expedition to SR388, Star Fox could overtake the Simpsons ride and have you defending Corneria from Andross with assistance from Team Star Fox, and F-Zero could retheme the Refreshment Station, load the land with F-Zero Race Cars for photo ops, or even take over Fear Factor stage for a show or remodel it into a ride

I'm not to keen on the idea of a Dreamworks Land styled area with Nintendo's other properties primarily because IOA already has plenty for kids play areas like the Popeye's Me Ship, The Olive, Camp Jurassic, and all of Suess Landing. I really like the idea of a standalone area for Zelda, it's a more "mature" franchise than Kirby, Animal Crossing or Splatoon, and it lends itself to be a good spiritual successor to former attractions. For instance, remember the Merlinwood Enchanted Oak Tavern? They could bring that back as the Deku Tree Tavern. Poseidon's Fury? An iteration of Zora's Domain - an entirely different attraction but maintaining the water theme and temple aesthetic. Eighth Voyage of Sinbad could be reimagined as an epic Link vs Ganondorf fight. I don't know, just spitballing ideas here.

Legends Zelda is awesome song because the song is really good because it shows the flute of beauty but now after look at Ganondorf before he’s a demon, his music is terrible because I told you everybody to know he’s a villain Ganondorf cheer him up and give him a chill pill

Kirby seems like a shoe-in for a general Nintendo themed land, but im not sure about animal crossing having its own dedicated land despite its popularity... more so i can't really think of any good ride ideas or show ideas for it. As a big fan of the games, Metroid having its own little section would be SO COOL, but I'm worried about the sci-fi look of the series being too out of place... there would be a nicr transition from seuss landing to kirby, then kirby to zelda both being video game properties, then zelda to harry potter both being fantasy genres with detailed architecture... who knows though, maybe animal crossing could work after all as just a little walk through/shopping area

I know I have a ton of ideas I can't seem to flesh out into a video, but it would be really cool to spitball details with someone who loves the parks as much as I do! I also know I can't be the only one that would want to be a part of it for sure ^^

Zelda was never on the table... if anything lost continent will get absorbed into more Harry Potter things or just stay as a shopping and food area because it's incredibly profitable as shops and exotic food. Plus if they retirement it too much that means mythos needs tethered and that means a new menu and they can no longer say they were rated best theme park restaurant. Do theyvknow what they want to do with it? Yes, is it anything Nintendo themed? No. They want all the nintendo things in epic to draw peoppe there and spend money there.

Legend of Zelda is monumental I never played Zelda games until breath of the wild then I became in love with the lore and world. Zelda would be perfect and it would grow bringing synergy to games and vice versa
