This happens with a lot of the houses in places like Kensington and Mayfair. It would be better if these houses were demolished and proper houses with a bit of breathing room in them were built. So many of these houses are butchered. All the character is taken out of them and there's the same decor throughout with acres of marble, terrazzo. The only reason for the price tag is location. I certainly wouldn't pay such a ridiculous sum of money for this.

The solicitors I used to work for were the sols for the management company of this block (amongst others). I can assure you that they're NOT all this luxurious!! lol. Oh, and back then (I'm talking about 20 years ago) the ground rent and service charges were not that excessive for a mansion block with full time porters.
