Read the Communist Manifesto by Marx/Engels? Hollywood pushed that stuff and supports politicians who push it. Words mean nothing, action means everything! Read the Communist Manifesto, it's only like 45 pages. It is probably the worst idea humanity has produced. Its adherents and champions have left a trail of blood and bodies beyond compare.

Move on. Dicky Barrett proved he was the only true punk in the band (whereas the rest of the band are that other kind of punk). It is time to wait for The Defiant's album to be released this summer (hopefully).

@@ioncewasmikey Not only in the last decade. The way I see it classical punk represents anarchy, which stands for liberty, individualism and self-determination. This is what true right wing is about. On the other hand government, collectivism and control attributes to left wing properties. Extreme left wing properties are called communism or fascism. It's essentially the same. Nowadays punks are often the opposite of punk.

goosebumps every time - been listening to the bosstones for 23 years and this may be on of the most quintessential, simply perfect songs they’ve ever written. the horns are perfect, the message is perfect, and most importantly, it’s really easy to visualize ben carr dancing to this one. this one blows my hair back.

Do I get thrown out of the concert if I point out that this sounds just a little like "They Might Be Giants" (both in terms of how it sounds and in terms of it being the kind of song they'd do)? I mean, you know, more bad-ass, but like them nevertheless.

Do I get my ass kicked and thrown out of the place or do people stop for a second and say yeah, They Might Be Giants are a band for kids and nerds, but I see the similarity in this one song so it's OK.

I have to admit, I'm somebody who's loved "Impression That I Get" and "Rascal King" ever since they came out, but I'd never really looked further into you guys' music beyond that at the time. Then like 6 months ago, I wanted some ska and I pulled up you guys on Spotify and just listened to all your albums straight through from one end to the other, and I was really, really fucking amazed. I can't believe what I was missing out on this whole time, I've got a 3.5 hours playlist now purely of Bosstones that I listen to all the fucking time. Not just amazed by the awesome melodies, but by the messages and meaning you guys have put into your music ever since the beginning. You guys were more socially conscious 20+ years ago than most bands are today. Really, really so happy to have been able to connect with your music. Keep it going! <3
