I thought that sound was made with a synthesizer, it turns out it was a chorus and in reverse, amazing

Rice's autobiography says they hired two actors to impersonate harold and ted so its not them speaking. Mind you these are very poor impersonations compared with Mike Yarwood, the news huddlines etc.

I always thought the lead guitar sound on Live And Let Live and Look Hear were quite thin and quiet. This sounds better but a remix from the multitrack tapes would be fab.

How beautiful. It reminds me of my family going out on a Sunday afternoon in our Consul Mk2. Ending up at an airfield .parking the car and listening to Alan Freeman Top 40. American Billboard does not come close to the British Top 40. Britain was the place to be. London was swinging .The Beatles were the excitement of the 60s .I was one happy 8 year old who was part of the Beatles Fan Club. Happy Days .Happy memories when British music was the best.

Almost 46 years on, I still can quote vast slabs of Cook's astonishing dialogue and love all the music from Kev and Lol. It might have been a vastly self-indulgent, cocaine-fuelled experiment but it sure as hell worked for me. Without this album, I might never have appreciated that there is no chicken without a stone, that you cant teach ducks to dance, or that yer cant bend muck! One of my favourite albums of all time.

Blint's Tune is a multitrack masterpiece on a par with Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells, just two guys wrote and played all the instruments and layered vocals to create huge choir sounds, and the music itself changes, modulates and refrains like a classic symphonic arrangement.

In many ways disc 1 is all pre Art Of Noise. No wonder Lol jumped on he AON/T.Horn train (but then again it is maybe the other way around) The track Sleeping Earth even has some sounds sampled by AON?? (only guessing)

Hi! I stumbled upon your channel while trying to find audience recordings done in Europe around 1983-1985. Im a collector of live recordings for the jazz fusion band called “Casiopea”, and over the years I’ve amassed quite a collection of all sorts of concert media (FM,TV,AUD,SBD,etc) but Ive had no leads to any recordings outside of Japan aside from a few official releases. They had a few shows in London and in Europe from 1983-1985, and I was wondering if maybe you or someone you may know recorded these performances ! Any leads or help is greatly appreciated : ) thank you!

Wow! I've always liked Oldfield's Exposed, but it's interesting to hear a full gig, as that particular live album has tracks recorded in various locations during this same tour. Two Finns in this sizable band, unfortunately neither one is still with us. The late, great bassist Pekka Pohjola is holding down the bottom end well, as is expected. His solo work is highly recommended for fans of instrumental prog. It's not totally unlike mr. Oldfield's music. On trumpet is Simo Salminen, one of the best lead trumpetists of his era. He also worked with the Buddy Rich Big Band around the time of this tour.

Very cool, Sean. Tried to do I'm Not in Love at a karaoke bar a few years back (after too many gin and tonix) and their instrumental version was such crap that my vocal collapsed. Wish I'd have had this one!

I’m so pleased to have seen this and great to see the band get a good turnout plus is Graham Gouldman the nicest man in the pop industry , I think so after seeing so many of his interviews over the years . Shame that Eric Stewart didn’t make an appearance as he is on both Deceptive Bends and Bloody Tourists
