Saw a ‘61 vw bus this morning with deadhead stickers on the windows. A young kid was driving, said his dad had followed since his age. I smiled, showed him my stealie tattoo and said he had a good dad, and he thoroughly agreed. Deadheads . They have always talked shit, but we are still going down the road

I hate that I googled Brent and found out how soon it was after this show that he had passed. That guy must have been drowning in an ocean of bad stuff while lifting us all up with these kinds of performances. I have probably already commented on this video in the past without being aware of that detail. I love Brent's playing so much, my fave era of the Dead is his tenure.

I was lucky enough to have a friend who was a dead fan, I ended up seeing them at three rivers, the third to the last show and the second set brought the rain down with these guys blowing our minds with LET IT RAIN I DONT MIND light show. Most beautiful experience in my life.
