Don't take that 'crazy Manchester drivers' bs seriously. It is true that if you are driving west into Manchester on route 101 and head south on I-93, you will have to cut across a few lanes of traffic if you need to get right. Also, pay no mind to the "masshole driver bs either.

Outrageously expensive, rent is insane, and it has the yuppy vibe you get in Newburyport Ma. And plenty of people live there, you can't find a parking spot, and those restaurants are packed.

Native mainah here was born in farmington raised in Athens transplanted to Florida .everyone i know always ask me where I'm from due to the amount of respect, courtesy,care i display . My wife is a beach bunny never been out of Florida born raised i transplanted her back here after living in FL for 26 yrs... the state has changed alot from 1992 to 2018.. all the good old manners have passed there lives over to family or friends people are no where near the mainers that made this state the goverment here is a true work of the USA company's llc .co ! It is nothing but a buisness it's all about money aka tax. The community's are tight if you did not grow up with them you don't belong with them majority of the time especially if you don't say front or back door yard , kar,haurss,stoved up,staved up .ahyep,uncunted, exc exc i love this state dreams of returning to my roots as a woodsman,outdoorsman,fishing hunting camping are still very much alive inside me I miss my home alot some days especially my friends. Graduating with just under 1000 fellow students in fl where i would have had a sub 15 fellow student graduation in Maine. I use to hate that my mom moved us there now looking back I wouldn't have changed a thing money is a necessity in life now days it rules everything . Moving here knowing people from my childhood up to 8th grade still have friends and family none of my family owned this lumber yard o any other of the local businesses that have thrived here every job I have had which has been more then I wanted has been just as messed up as the next they lie to you use there buddys to mess with you and there community's buying a house realizing the neighbor wanted it until a friend stepped in buying house cash during the whole covid market from hell. It was hard finding housing I am so thankful he had the means to do what he done so there not all bad ..working for corrupt friend and family owned operated and driven businesses is a high crap shoot I am a intelligent very versatile individual and my skill levels are high also safe. Don't do things the right way or wrong way do it there way .don't put in your two cents because it won't matter oh yeah don't say shit to your supervisor about bettering the company or ways to better the company or save tins of money because you have done it yourself for multiple other company's or people worked for in past ...if your a hard worker great at what you do don't expect to be compensated. Do expect to see watch a new age soap Oprah unfold in your very own eyes as they have there buddies set u up for failure after the boss has tried to write you up for doing something while delivering there product out of nowhere expecting raise due to your ability to hold up your end of the deal due to your over 25 yr exp in the field pasing one of the hardest test for certification of operator there is but get sat down to be written up for almost running the boss off the road when you certainly would remember almost hitting anyone while driving consider it has never happen in life time but it will take your mind off the raise you are due but you should have got it in writing only to have him try mess with you and your mind buy stating you done wrong to make you think your not worth it it's mind games.along with setup for failure threwout the company which leaches right into the community's anything they can do to try make you not want to be here . To be lied to about insurance coverage to only have surgery when u try collect what was told you had it never goes threw they write there own bylaws knowing your not eligible but telling you are. Then being sent home to get some certificate that is not needed to legally do your job only to be denied buy the place they send u . Having to find other place pay out pocket missing 5days of pay plus money to get dot card .then afyer 2 yrs of employment being fired for not being there while fallowing company procedure on calling out for medical reasons while on a INTERMITTENT FMLA OF LEAVE you had requested due to medical issues only to be denied for unemployment after being approved for itbcalling vack to find out your approval was turned over buy another person in the unemployment office saying non eligible for coverage when you were fired after beingbsick and coming back to work covering your ass as much possible looking back wondering why my boss would text me out no where while working on clock with zzzzzz like sleeping on job when your driving down 95. Then having yard boss have a verbal talk to you months prior about taken days off knowing you filed a intermittent fmla . It's the third small company I worked for all having similar shit shows . i disagree as a nh resident myself i have said time and time again that new england in general is a safe zone from natural disasters and fatal dangers examples are in florida hurricanes in arizona and texas are deserts filled with poisonous snakes volcanos in hawii, and envormants for tornados in the south and middle of the country while in the new england corner you are basically safe from such natural disasters and fatal dangers and thats why if i wanted to live in one place my entire life it is new hampshire within new england its better then having dangers lurking and natural disasters dispite the points this guy made in the video. being safe is better then not dealing with high living costs and having only 1 major city a.k.a manchester the good outweighs the bad also why new hampshire and not anywhere else? what makes nh different then all other new england states for a safe zone? 2 things 1. no sales tax and 2. live free or die moto makes nh a little more free then other states. im staying right here also bunus add on to make nh good variety of options for type of location to live. wanna live in mountain terrain? just live in or near the white mountians wanna live in forest? try most northern part of the state. wanna live by seacoast? no problem! we got hampton beach. wanna swim in non sea water? no problem just live near lake winnipasakiue wanna live in a city instead? manchester is your best option!

Well there is more to Maine than the Tourist areas. Living in Northern Maine is a treasure. I found after living in the bump and grind of a major city in Florida for 20 years moving back to my birth place was pure heaven. I relish quiet and the beauty of nature.

Need to be wealthy to live here. Rents are skyrocketing as people from surrounding states move here. I will probably be forced to move in the next year or two. Also it doesn't have a lot of resources for lower income or elderly. The waiting list to get on affordable housing list is 6 to 8 years and you have to literally be completely destitute to qualify.

I live in southern maine and massachusetts landlords have come in and bought up a lot of the properties in maine over the past few years. They jacked up the prices forcing many lifelong residents to find housing elsewhere. They let all these immigrants in and gave them cash benefits so they end up renting out all of the affordable properties. Not trying to sound racist here but just stating facts. I live in an apartment building that has 10 apartments in it. When I first moved in every apartment in the building was occupied by white people. Fast forward 8 years to now and I am the only white person left in the building. 6 of the apartments are black people from various parts of africa, 2 apartments are mexicans and 1 is people from afghanistan. Literally half of the people in the building now don't even speak english. Those who do speak english it's all you can do to understand what they are even saying. Crime has skyrocketed and there's trash literally everywhere on the streets now. It's gotten to the point where actual mainers are the minority in most areas. I was born in maine and have lived here my whole life but am seriously considering leaving come tax time. When I was in high school there were only 2 black kids in the whole school. This year really hit hard when my daughter came home from her first day of high school saying she was the only white kid in all of her classes. She said she finds it hard to make friends because they are all racist towards her for simply being white. Almost all of the friends she had growing up have since moved away. Something to think about before you come here.

My son and I visited many years ago and visited little towns. We enjoyed the areas we visited and the people were wonderful and helpful. Spent a week at Spencer's pond camps, and headed further up to see the sign "Key West" as the end of US 1 where I actually was born and raised. Way to much salt water in my veins to survive a Maine winter, but thank you for the hospitality!

Doesn't House Bill 1097 state that NH residents cannot be charged income tax if they are 100% remote employees even if their company is in Maine (or any other state for that matter)? I believe what you are saying in video about remote employees of Maine may be incorrect.
