I just ordered a Redline spindle along with the Z20 slider. I have a Buildbotics controller. Do these instructions work with the controller I have?
@onefinity-trainingtipswithMitz6 күн бұрын
Hi Frank, it does but since this video came out, onefinity added the reset configuration to include the z20 Slider. Go to the fly out menu and select reset configuration. Then select your machine model (woodworker/journeyman etc) and then select your Z slider (z20). This will establish the correct settings for you rather than having to manually change them. You’re going to love the spindle/z20 combo!

Is there a way to confirm the 1/4" hole in the board is perfectly drilled in the board? if its not perfectly square to the board this method won't give accurate results. I've used my drill press to drill mine, but I'm still not convinced it as accurate as it needs to be. Your thoughts?
@onefinity-trainingtipswithMitz2 ай бұрын
@@terrymoss4729 you can use the cnc to drill the holes. I used a 1-1/2” wide x 3/4” thick board and drilled into each end. I would do this after tramming left to right and place the board in the x axis (left to right). The holes will be far more accurate than doing it on the drill press. Another way to check squareness is to align a carpenter square from entry hole to exit hole across on the material

I cant make it work. Im using carveco maker and ugs. I select the bottom of material in the software. I probe from the spoil board. When I hit carve it drives the bit all the way to the spoil board instead of top of material.

Did you probe z from the top or bottom of material? Needs to be probed in the same place as the design software

You guys’ ROCK! About ready to make the plunge. They say buy your second cnc first. I changed my mind 3 times over the past couple months deciding on which brand to go with. All for the better! Much more than I intended on spending, especially if I add the PWN ATC System. But once I saw it. I gotta have it lol. Having an ATC with a CNC is the frosting on the cake, but $$Ouch! "buy once cry once" Does adding the pwn atc system effect the warranty for the Elite Foreman in any way? Thanks for all the tech you guys bring to the hobby market! KZ

Hello Mitz, I know this video is a bit old, bit I know the new elite’s have teaming bolts on the rails. I think I need to tram my Elite Journeyman. Can you please do a step by step video on the process of doing this? I know the infinity site has a diagram but I’m confused. I do much better with an actual how to video. I’d really appreciate it. Thanks Chris

Again, newbe need help. I see you check the continuity but where do I find the screen on the masso elite to see that. It appears you're using a computer monitor.
@onefinity-trainingtipswithMitz10 ай бұрын
This was on the original machine (x35 and x50). On the Masso, if you go to the F1 screen, in the center column, scroll down to the touch probe input. When you touch the probe to the bit (magnet on collet), you will see the input change from low/green to red/high. This indicates to have good continuity
@williamyoung982110 ай бұрын
Thanks for that. Now, Problem, the makita came with a plastic collet. @@onefinity-trainingtipswithMitz

Why not just use a 32x32 square, then use "area clear" with a step over of 2"? Then rotate?
@williamyoung982110 ай бұрын
A real great presentation for clear understanding. Just a quick question, is it advisable to have the spoil board a couple inches larger than the cutting area? Thanks.....Bill
@onefinity-trainingtipswithMitz10 ай бұрын
It really doesn’t matter as long as your bit can reach the edge of the material. I wind up putting a grid that’s 32 x 32 or whatever my cutting area is which will define the cutting area.

You changed the setting to the max jerk for Motor 0, Motor 1 & Motor 3 but not motor 2? Why not Motor 2?
@onefinity-trainingtipswithMitz10 ай бұрын
Motor 2 (right Y rail) is slaved to Motor 1 (left Y rail) and therefore uses settings for Motor 1

I am going to comment again. Used this technique this morning. It worked perfectly. With a bit of work was able to dial it in to within a few thousandths (front to back, side to side) - over a twenty-inch span. Used feeler gauges. Good enough for woodworking. After this procedure I took another light cut off the spoil board (0.010), the surface is very smooth, with no ridges from the cutter. So happy! Thanks again.

Mitz, I've watched your Part 1 and 2 videos multiple times, they're great. Like others that have commented, I am curious how you dealt with the dust collection. I don't see how your design accommodated for the hose. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
Thank you for this video - I think you will get me going. I have a question on the G-code file - where did it come from? Is it a 3D CAD program for the "model" and how was it processed to result in the G-code file?
@onefinity-trainingtipswithMitz Жыл бұрын
Hi Neil. The g code is processed when you save your toolpaths in your design software. You have to select the post processor the first time you go to save the toolpath. Just be sure to select Onefinity Elite (for Elite series machines) or Onefinity-BB (for original series machines).
