Thanks now i know to never buy a DJI drone and will look for other drones that have no BS like that. I do own a Spry drone for my water videos it is great and made in China and a great drone but they are not cheap $1,000.us but takes 4K video :) Thanks for posting this video great job

Your missing the point that DJI Neo is a selfie drone which stays like within 10m. Yes can be wifi smartphone run or not. If you get the DJI Mini 4K, the DJI Neo can use its controller with smartphone, which then give normal drone flight and open up more options. If you get the DJI Goggles Integra Motion Combo, now you turn your DJI Neo into a FPV drone. Everything preety much just works with DJI products. No other drone company has that. Now Geofencing been added to all DJI drones, which often too aggressive. Their attempt not to get banned in the US. There are many other drone makers that have no geofencing. Look at the "Specta Mini GPS Drone with 4K UHD Camera" its $220 does most everything the DJI Mini 4 does. Yet no geofencing. it's built with knock off DJI parts. Look with all the bad news panic, US Government is going for forcing Drone Registration, not only geofencing, but RealID tracking. That will most get pushed to all drones, not just those over 250 grams. There other drones that do the selfie thing like "AirSelfie - Air NEO " to the "HOVERAir X1" or "HOVERAir X1 Pro Max", these aren't useful FPV drones really they main focus is seflie shots. The "Fimi Mini v3" is better camera normal fly around drone. Everything in drones is rapidly advancing. Like for FPV the "Emax Nanoscout" is good starter but still need googles and controller. There are ton of cheap indoor toys, vs semi pro and pro level drones. Everyone these days has cell smart phone, which is a mini computer. So yes almost all use your cellphone to control. Yes some have better controllers for greater distance flight. unknow if DJI get the ban hammer or if all asian drones get blocked. For the RC drone hobbyist, better get stuff now before nothing is allowed to be sold.

Process is pretty simple actually but yes, you need to seek permission to fly. Well, it's tough for people who don't like this process unfortunately. I have traditional fpv drone as well and I live in blue zone (airport range) but it still allows us to fly
