So many fond memories of Hunt.. sharing a beer at Applebees before Vol State, helping to crew him to that fantastic LAVS finish (and watching him leave Oprah in the dust climbing Sand Mountain.. he's still in the top 40 on that Strava segment!), sharing a loop with him earlier this year at BTR, and so many other races in between. Such an amazing, humble, kind, and bad-ass human. Thanks for sharing!

Bummer you were sick for Hellbender this year. You managed to run a lot of the good stuff despite your condition. I was out there crewing and pacing this year for William Connell, he had a much rougher go than expected too. Also, I'm so sorry to hear about the DQ for your girls 4x800. That is heart breaking. I appreciate what you do for the community and to spread the love of running. Thank you Aaron! Good luck in your build toward High Lonesome :)

@@aaronsaft5450 In the end Bill got a lot out of it. But like you, he didn't feel good for most of his time out there and had to significantly re-frame the effort for himself. The crewed aid stop at Curtis Creek #2 with the decision to not drop was inspired and the sunrise on Jarrett Creek road was amazing. In the end, it was about a lot more than finishing time or place in the field and that is life!

Thank you for this! This my set up, as well (Topo Traverse with Altra and dirty girl gators) Didn’t know if I had to build a flat surface (out of shoe goo) for the Velcro to be secure.

Your first topic of conversation with a group that claims to want to draw attention to the stories of women is about a so-called woman who has testes and no womb. Got it.

Caster was born with a male body.
@benjaminfranklin84126 ай бұрын
Caster, a misogynist male, has no human right to compete against female athletes. He discovered conclusively that he was male. Again, Caster discovered, with evidence, that he is male. He has a male reproductive structure. He has a genetic variation that resulted in doctors mistakenly thinking he had a vagina but he did not have a vagina. He has no womb. He has no ovaries. He has no female reproductive structure. He has testes. He has 5a-reductase-2, a condition that only affects males. (The testerone issue is irrelevant to a discussion of whether he is male.) And, despite this discovery and all of this evidence, he decided to constantly lie about the evidence and promote misogyny and abuse towards female athletes. I feel compassion for him since he was misdagnosed as a baby, but he has been completely inappropriate and immature. He should accept himself for the man he is and promote more awareness of differences in sexual development and all the challenges for that community. Instead, he is a powerful voice for denial and not accepting one's self for who one is.

This is awesome! Congratulations Teresa on completing that adventure with joy :) You have talent as a storyteller as well as an ultra athlete. It was so fun to hear the story of this race from someone else’s perspective as a finisher myself.

You don’t want that attached at the cord this way. Danger of breaking the power cord connection into the light… have you tried the mag pak in the naked belt and just used the magnets?
@Sk1nnyF4t Жыл бұрын
My kogalla is 4 years old so unsure if the magnet has been improved since then but my light will fly free of the magnet when running trails downhill or anything remotely trail race pace. Hence why I was searching for a solution like this

Not sure when you're planning on SCAR, but don't forget Clingman's dome road doesn't open until April 1st. So about your only crew access NoBo is going to be at Newfound Gap, closer to 41, 42ish miles in.
