Most people just have the dump truck and dump it from your house out and keep doing that to the street and I don’t think anybody taps it down driving on it is what sets it but you will have to have some kind of larger gravel to begin with

Yeah man, we are on the same page with A LOT of things that based on "external appearances BS" many would assume otherwise...LOL. We would make great neighbors for sure! If I stay on top of it as planned, I think we can keep the mice at bay. Got a lot of good tips in the comments that make sense, so I will try them out. I wouldn't even know where to start dealing with skunks, the smell is no joke...and I have absolutely no clue on how to address raccoons( but I'm sure I will have to learn asap). That's way above my rookie pay grade

@@7sigmaoff-grid Indeed, great friend I'm sure of it. Raccoons, man lol they are extremely destructive. I heard a noise on my back porch one night and there were 6 of them out there having a party....all sizes out there throwing stuff off the porch, tearing stuff up etc lol it was wild. And once they move in its real hard to get rid of them, you have to trap them and take them like 20 miles away or they will find their way back One of them was coming after one of my outside cats and I had to take him out took 2 12ga rounds to put it down, they tough, smart and mean.

Those horrible vermin, so disrespectful. I left my trailer for 32 days before I moved it and wrapped it. I had 3 coming home at night, I have no belly pan and they came up the pipe holes. Close all windows and turn on bathroom/hood fan then feel around for air flow, under sinks, heat vents and drains, spray foam max gap, as for outside, mask up then try and blow out all the black rice out of the belly pan. Then see if you can fill voids with spray foam, PL premium the gaps, then skirt the house with super slick composite panels. mice slide right off. Past 10 years I have had the Pesta Cator, plug in and it makes bad noise for some critters designed as an initial deterrent. Pet shelters have a lot of mice murdering cats ready to come home with you. Put 1 peanut covered trap behind the back wheel of the car, they will use it as cover then get it. If I had built that home for you those voids wouldn't be void and the aluminum would have been riveted on seams. Sorry you had to deal with that .

@7sigmaoff-grid anytime, my 1st year was last year, lots of fine tuning. I haven't seen dropping near my trailer since the skirting.
@7sigmaoff-grid
@7sigmaoff-grid 3 күн бұрын
We've delayed skirting to see what happens with water run-off/erosion once we get a good rain. We had a major communication mishap with the contractor who cut the home pad earlier this year(long story)...so skirting is on hold until we can see how bad the pad area floods so we can either address it, or move the home to a different location on the property. Rookie mistake...LOL

So sorry this is happening. The mattress should always have a plastic cover on it and the most important thing is to find out where they are coming in at. So many people wouldn't even show a video of having rats like it's not normal. It happens there's nothing you can do about it especially when you live out where y'all do. I have a lot of trees around me when I moved into my home and I had to deal with them too.OMG they chewed through metal. The tape is not going to work you'll need metal flashing.LOI they just take their little arms and push the door open. I saw something earlier today on KZbin about rats I will see if I can find the video. One most suggestion if you don't mind under the kitchen sink you need to cut up a soda can and mold it around the pipes. The steel wool is only temporary. Sorry but the tape is not going to work the whole bottom needs to be metal flashing I know I'm just rambling on and on but before you let the dog in please make sure all those things are removed I almost lost the dog that way.This is also a good thing to have and don't forget to cover everything thing with plastic -Ultraviolet Lamp, 100W UV Light with Ozone Purifier for Large Room, with Three-Step Timing Remote Control, Blue Light,

So, lol, you guys need cats. Indoor and outdoor kitties They are natural born hunters. Not only will they kill mice, but snakes, spiders and all the creepy crawlies. Build a nice cat shelter, plus they will hang out underneath the house. You will need to leave them water and food inside the shelter. 🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈 Then you won't have to use chemicals. Your always going to have mice. Plus now that you've sealed up the house, and put out poison. Just know now you'll have dead mice inside. 😂 experience 😂

Yup the mice....ugggg. For all future deterrent my easy/safe go-to is PEPPERMINT spray. I buy 1-2 jugs a year of 100%pure oil on Amz and routinely spray perimeter/problem areas of past & nothing since! They hate peppermint PLUS it's totally SAFE for pets & us-no toxic chemicals. It also gets rid of all the other bugs too. They say leave peppermint round candies in kitchen drawers, bathroom pipe areas etc to deter. Planting peppermint around the outside in spring & let that start spreading - that helps too.
