Based on actual material testing in a laboratory for years, the dry pour method will produce a much weaker concrete pad than wet mixed. If it works for what you intended, then great. However, I would strongly suggest for anything you do yourself, do the best methods you can do, and don't cut corners. Doing it once in the best method is better than doing it twice. For what you are doing, it will likely hold.

@@thereasoner9454 I agree it is weaker but for this purpose it is plenty strong and it’s not going anywhere. If it cracks no big deal. Wet pour is going to crack also. But it was fun doing this. I could have got a concrete truck but I have no experience and no tools for a good job. And this was easy and didn’t have to worry about it setting up too fast. If I was going to drive on this…..absolutely wouldn’t have used this method.

I did a dry pour slab and built a Rubbermaid shed on top of it. My neighbors concrete guy said it would do it for $1000. I saved $700 doing a dry pour. I have no doubts that I will last.

Been test saying it's as strong as the bag says it is, concrete companies are trying to go to a 2500psi mix on residential slabs so i don't see any problems with the dry pour over ready mix, especially when you get lazy finishers dumping 20-30 gallons of added water in the truck to make their job easier, nicely done

Looks good! I used dry pour over 25 years ago for the fence posts, walkway and porch on my house. Still there. My house was far from commercial concrete so there were expensive surcharges. Dry pour was easy for me to do by myself. This technique has a place for DIY. People here saying it’s easy to learn how to finish wet concrete-- well, ain’t easy if you ain’t interested in learning skills that won’t be looking good on the first and only time. My time and energy go to learning other skills Imwill use more often. I haven’t seen anyone advocating to use dry pour method to create residential or commercial building foundations - but a shed or walkway? Absolutely.

I would have let the primer fully cure first, then coat the barrel with fire-resistant paint next, and let that cure for whatever the product says it takes before starting the next barrel burn. That smoke or vapor coming off the barrel was likely the newly coated paint volatilizing.

This not an acoustic tour. They're playing an electric guitar, an electric bass, an electric keyboard, a drum set with microphones played through electric amplifiers and a PA system.

Really, dude? Let's not split hairs here. It's a totally different beast to put on a show like this than a full "electric" show. There is no hiding anything behind a wall of distortion or effects out there like this. You survive on your talent alone. And they pulled it off like champs.
@Shadowman-1960

@@mattscott8922 I'm not splitting hairs and there is nothing acoustic about this show. In an acoustic show the musicians play acoustic guitars and an acoustic bass, and don't use a miked up drum kit or an electric keyboard.
@workingbettertogether4882

If the guitars are not hooked up to a sound system how could you hear them. Go pick on a guitar and see how much sound you make. This was not a huge music hall but it wasn’t small and it was packed. I know it says to hell with the amps tour but we all know what that means. I’ve been to many regular Stryper shows and there are amps and speakers stacked everywhere and it’s deafening. This was definitely a hard show to pull off bc you can hear every miss unlike the regular shows where the sounds will hide a lot of that. I thought they did an amazing job.
