I took this out of my 993 and replaced the evaporator with a new one. Getting this thing back in is a job. I still have not put it back in. Car will drive without this but is ac suitcase and heater unit. Interesting design.

Great work Many people dont realise the skill, work, hours and parts cost that goes into a 964 restoration.. i reckon a total grounfld up nut and bolt restoration cant be done for less than €300k .. including donor car..

Pelican parts has an estimated time for the HVAC removal of 15 hours alone. If mine leaks, no way am I fixing it, the fuel tank removal alone is a painful enough job. Well done

Great video! I am thinking its time for this on my car. How do you know that you need to change the evaporator? Not easy to see if it leaks, is it?

Lyc and Cont engines require lacquer and silk thread to seal the cases. RTV is a big no no, since it can pinch out into the interior of the engine and get sucked into oil passages, starving bearings and causing planes to fall out of the sky. Your odds of survivability are directly related to your angle of impact.
@Olsenspec6 күн бұрын
We would NEVER use RTV!
