No. I prefer older movies. They had a story, characters, great actors and stars, much more human. Today it's too much CG, no stories, no character and very few great actors. Hardly any stars.

I was looking for a video like this. I apreciate this movie for so many things and it kinda bothers me the lack of analysis in the platform.

🤷🏻 all i Know is that it gets a mention in FamilyGuy S18E15 before their own ‘Pixar Short.’ The whole Premise for the bit (extra Time) was possibly made so Stewie could say “..and don’t worry it won’t be that creepy one where the Chinese mother eats her baby.” 🫢🤣 Years ago the show allso mentioned a Garfield Anthology that has a very disturbing reinterpretation ov him. 🤔 ….the Disney acquisition ov some Fox properties hadbeen used several times in that Season tho.

Him and Roger Deakins are probably the best cinematographers as they can effortlessly merge beautiful shots and the technical aspects of cinematography!

I guess I’m the only one that see’s this film as disturbing? First off in the clip I thought the Chinese mother was a man. She does not look Chinese or much like a woman. She shows no resemblance to her son or the other Chinese adults in the film, I wonder why they did that (rhetorical question)? That struck me as odd. She is dressed in men’s clothing, and shoes , and also has a haircut more commonly seen on men. And if they are trying to impose the transgender thing here, it just doesn’t apply or fit , she is a married woman with a husband. And when she gets irritated and eats what is portrayed as her son, it gives a creepy feeling of a psycho mom. A mother reacting without thinking, in an irreversible act that basically ends the life of her so called child. Reading to much into this? I don’t think so. There is an odd, darkness about this film that I believe will leave a more negative effect on children rather than a positive one, and why would anyone ever want to do that to a child?
