If something says 1d8 per druid level... and you are a level 4. Would that legit be 4d8?

I just got into D&D after wanting to for years and just found your channel and i made a couple weeks ago a form like you are using there before of the one you are using but mine i have the chart from PHB for height and weight for the age if the race lives for 100 or less i use a d100 if the number is over 50 i divide by 2 unless you want an older character and so on for the one who lives more than 100 i just roll the d100 that many times 700 = 7 rolls

Mantic Games, and Coveted Forge are my two favorite sites to buy from, quality minis for cheap, they're more for wargaming but their used as cheaper alternatives to games workshop's stuff for age of sigmar.

My kids (6 and 4): - love combat - love quirky characters and funny voices - love equipment / magic items - love pets pets more pets (alien pets) - love and naturally blend magic, superpowers and technology - love doing tons of actions per round 😂 (but one at a time works now) - rescue missions / do good We used to play a homebrew fantasy/DnD and now play a Starport based homebrew version. What does not work: - too long sessions - math with dice/abilities - knock them out / sleepy (loosing powers was working better like its the case in Starport) - monsters breaking their stuff in combat 😅 - failing 50% (even DnD is at a 2/3 ratio of succeeding, so if using some homebrew mechanic take this into account)

My first DnD campaign starts today!

You could of had it be an ettin instead of a 2 headed ogre. Since ettins actually HAVE 2 heads. And just weakened it to around however strong you had the ogre. But overall, nifty. I think a things are for me now, i might have added more to do with that stream.

I just got my set of wanderers emporium minis. I'm very happy with them. Going to use them in this weekends session. 5 stars from me

Oddly enough, there was a Family Guy episode wherein a criminal drug gang were all disguised as a day care center. They were all little people dressed in children's clothes. So yeah, that happened.

Those are crappy factions. A good thieves' guild would already have key members of the guard on their payroll and have either bribed or blackmailed members of the town government to stymie any investigations or actions taken against them. Meanwhile, the town guard - if they're really the adamant enemies of the thieves' guild, would be dragging them out of the city as they are arrested and put them to the sword, feeding the crows, as it were.

I would argue that buying the "Old School Essentials" rules book, is a good way to get into D&D, and then move onto 5e later, if you want to. OSE (using ascending armor class!) is quite newbie friendly! It's basically the old D&D Basic/Expert rules, redone in an easy to understand/look up format.

I would like to ask something; if an example goblin stats scimitar (scimitar) is "...Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) slashing damage...", what does "Hit: 5" mean here? I understand the other part as 1d6 + 2 damage if the hit is accurate, but what does Hit: 5 mean?

Such a huge mega-dungeon has to be run episodically. I think the PCs would need a reason to go into a particular dungeon level. Such as reward to kill monsters or collect loot/magic items, or rescue a prior adventurer or party, find a particular item magical or otherwise or perhaps just to increase a party’s reputation to obtain other jobs.

A little late, but I'm personally not concerned. It is not the tool but the hand behind it, as they say. 3D VTTs are just one of many available options, and like anything else some people will prefer it and others will not. Further, for many of the reasons pointed out here *cough* *cough* prep load *cough*, I do not see these supplanting anything.

I know people criticize everything, complaining your fantasy map is not realistic enough truly is peak oxymoronic.
