Not lately - I'm really short on time. 😕 But I do have several playlists here of my Let's Plays, where I recorded myself playing a few games I really loved. I plan to game more once I've finished my current audio project and gotten a few other things off my to-do list. I think I want to play the latest Civ! 🏙️

Ugh. I'm sorry that happened. Sometimes, even when a channel has disabled mid-roll ads, KZbin plays them anyway. It's a bug and they've been delaying the fix for like two years now. If it happens to you again, I recommend using one of the alternative platforms I have linked in the video description. Odysee seems to be the best option at the moment. I hope you're able to catch up on your sleep!

I'm not sure if this is meant to relate to brown noise specifically, but I suppose those associations can exist: heat can cause burns and cold can be calm and smooth by comparison. 🤷‍♂

It hasn't happened since this incident, no. My Partner Manager got involved and explained to me that this was happening because I had language in my video descriptions like "this can also help babies" and tags like "white noise for babies". All of this comes down to COPPA, a terrible law that does much more harm than good because legislators in the USA are utterly incompetent when it comes to technology (and a number of other things, but that's a discussion for another day). KZbin and other tech companies are paranoid about COPPA rules and tend to overreact to minimize the risk of being penalized for violations. That's why something that seems tiny or irrelevant to us will still end up on their radar. I've seen some channels who are CLEARLY making stuff for kids put a disclaimer at the beginning of their video saying "This is made for adults!" in an attempt to get around the restrictions - and it's perfectly understandable why, since stuff labeled "Made for Kids" gets absolutely trashed by the algorithm. I'm not sure if that trick will work for them in the long run since KZbin has indicated that they'll suspend you if you get caught horsing around. In your case, just be mindful that if anything at all makes them think it's for kids, they'll mark it and deny your appeals. You need to create and decorate your content as though children do not exist in this reality.

@DJGrossman you're completely right. They are covering their own butts. It's hard in the themepark niche because even my friends who don't have kids still have been getting marked so I can't find a common denominator. I also can't avoid kids completely because I have two of my own but they aren't the focus of the videos. I'm glad you haven't had anything else marked. I don't put descriptions in my Shorts or tags but I'll be careful on longer form videos. I really wish KZbin would be more supportive to it's creators. There's also bigger channels that play with plushies and are clearly for kids but don't get marked. Makes no sense. 🤦‍♀️ KZbin isn't a reliable source of income but it's so stressful when I'm just trying to support my family. 😵‍💫

@@EpicFamilyQuests I don't envy your position. You're walking one heck of a tightrope there. You could try plastering a disclaimer at the beginning of your content and in its metadata indicating that your content is produced entirely for adults looking for travel tips, and MAYBE that will be sufficient CYA for KZbin to give you the nod. I'm not sure. At the very least, you wouldn't be doing anything skeevy because it's the truth - not some nonsense where you're unboxing children's toys and claiming it's for adults. 🙄

Well, now of course people may want to have a quiet conversation with someone on the phone or maybe even a passenger next to them, but it's best if they do it politely so the sound doesn't carry and disturb other passengers. And under NO circumstances should a phone's speaker be on such that everyone can hear the video, music, or person on the other end of the call - that's super inconsiderate and yeah, it forces the rest of us to find ways to block out THEIR noise. Not cool. But hey, I'm glad this helped you get through another day of people who think they're the only ones on the train! 🚉

I'm easily triggered by every little sound as well, and that's already bad enough sometimes... I can't imagine pairing it with combat experience/trauma. You have my sincere sympathies. Combine that effect with audio you actually want to hear, and I know what you're saying - it's a game changer.
