I would be interested in how much art supplies your able to have in the van and what your using. I can't remember if you did video about this or not.

Morocco is really easy to eat veggie and vegan. Lots of great vegetable dishes, olives, flatbreads and also lots of great fruit and fruit salad! You’ll be fine xx

I feel like the entire creative community has been robbed, and as a result, many are now losing their jobs. Yet, I don’t see much complaining or legal action. Sure, you can now exclude your work, but no one asked for your consent beforehand. My days as a programmer are also numbered, just like countless others in various fields where AI can replace human workers-an impact that grows wider with every update.

AI does the same thing artists do. People take inspiration from and mix together all of the art and experiences they have seen
@hollyexley5 күн бұрын
Yes, through the lens of our own individual human experiences and our human consciousness, which makes it into something new. AI is not human. All it can do is the mixing part. To me that is not art.

I also love to collect E-zines as a way to connect with other artists, so definitely looking forward receiving yours. You are also the living prove you don't need a huge studio or lots of art stuff to make beautiful artwork even I can imagine it sometimes will be a challenge . I would love to make this year an E-zine myself , I tried before a printed booklet but that is too expensive in production to sell , I also want to get back into daily sketching to finish all my started sketchbooks and making art on all the panels , canvases I have waiting to be used instead of buying new . The Tree book looks gorgeous . Your itinerary looks so exciting can't wait to see your video's (if you intend to share it) . Good luck on your trip , good vibes for sketching and I wish you a wonderful and peaceful year in this crazy scary world 🍀

I’m really looking forward to receiving my zine (you posted it to Tasmania, so it might take a while 😊). I’m doing a no spend year in 2025, so I’m very tempted to order the Tree Atlas before then! It looks absolutely beautiful. Wishing you, Craig and the doggos a very safe journey to warmer climes over the winter months….cant wait to see what you get up to! xx

Oooh chocolate digestive tea! Is that Bird & Blend by any chance? I have mine with maple syrup when I am feeling like I want it a little sweeter and highly recommend it! I got Two Scottish Summers for Christmas from my partner after some heavy hinting! It made me so happy and really helped me understand why I've sometimes felt really sad in some of the most beautiful places in England. It's also given me a quick kick for my own zine making :D When it comes to prints vs originals, one of the key things for me is that I wouldn't be able to dress my space as I do if artists didn't sell prints. I will rarely be in a space where I can afford originals and I know a lot of my friends are in the same place; and I want art to remain accessible whilst still having worth. A compromise could be doing Limited Edition runs? I know it's a little tricky in the van but a way to keep that personal is to number them perhaps? Gosh those double spread paintings are AMAZING, super well done there! And it gives me such hope that these projects are still being done. Happy New Year!

Please never apologise for Quentin snoring, let that little angel snooze as loudly and peacefully as he likes, it is one of the sweetest things 💖 loving your paintings, the colours of your landscapes are so vibrant you just want to step into them, and the nest was so rich and jewel-like - watching this has just reminded me to go by a couple of zines before you close your shop 🙌 I also love the support you get from Craig, whether it is appreciating your artwork or offering to do all the talking 😁 How wonderful to have a cheerleader by your side who is happy for you to be you, however that looks on any given day. Thanks for your vlogs Holly, they are such a joy to watch - even if I am always catching up 😂 💖

My art goals are the same every year, and hopefully I can stick with it this coming year: Make more art for myself. I'm such a people pleaser, I'm always working on things for other people over myself, so I need to make things for the sake of making them for my own sanity. I also feel like we learn more about ourselves as we work on our own projects as artists, so it will hopefully be therapeutic. Your travel plans sound amazing! I had a professor in college who took an art sabbatical to Morocco, and it's one of her favorite countries she's visited. I hope you, Craig, and the dogs have a safe and wonderful new year!

Love the hair, your natural color is so pretty! And those landscape paintings are ABSOLUTELY gorgeous! I've been surging for modern watercolor landscape art for a while now, but it all looks very samey. If you ever put out a watercolor landscape art book/zine, I'd definitely buy it! And this one is going on my list as well!

It's cool to hear about your goals for the new year! I love small press and zines so much I can't believe I haven't picked up one of your zines yet. I just wanted to add that risograph is for me a good in-between for original artwork vs. mass-producing prints as I don't have the time to make original and all of the prints end up having their own original flair.

Another great video, Holly! Loved seeing that big beautiful book and your amazing work in there. Can't wait to get a copy for myself! It's also nice hearing about your art and travel plans - it seems like a lot of exciting things will be happening next year. I'm happy that you're planning on making more zines in the future. I really empathize with the want to have more community as artists. I actually have pretty similar art goals for this year. I'd like to make my first ever zine based off of my time living here in Georgia. I also just want to be able to finally sell some of my work and have the confidence I need in order to do so. I've been an artist for years now and have had zero luck with any sort of sales/commissions, etc, but I know that's because I've always been so afraid of putting myself out there and doing what needs to be done, as well as lacking the confidence in myself. I also have some art projects that I want to delve into, including a children's book that I've been brainstorming for years now. Hopefully 2025 will be the year of creativity and getting things done! I also just hit the 5k on my KZbin channel just a few minutes ago, which is exciting! Really trying to get my channel monetized and be able to make some money off of my work. Looking forward to the future! It's been such a treat following your journey over the years! ❤😊
