dude i think you’ve just solved the tone wood 🪵 debate,it sounds very good for being made out of pallet wood i’ve always thought that a electric guitars 🎸 sound and tone are like 90% hardware and electronics and 10% the wood used for the body and neck,i think wood makes more difference for an acoustic guitars sound in my opinion,great job that’s a very unique tele can i get one in lefty
@dannylewisguitarsКүн бұрын
@@michaelmetal71 thanks! I think your percentages are a bit off though. I think Electric guitars are 100% electronics and hardware. Tonewood snobs can come at me if they want!

Another fine build! I really enjoy your process. I love how you used the nail heads for fret markers. What kind of oil did you use for the finish? It really pops out the wood grain.

Beautiful. Was the reverse headstock intentional? I noticed the tuners were for a right handed headstock.
@dannylewisguitarsКүн бұрын
Good eye, small fry! It was totally an accident. I was pretty mad at myself when I figured out I messed that up because I had no more pallet wood to redo the neck. But I kind of like it now. You don’t see a lot of telecasters with reverse headstocks.

Man, this is awesome work! Honestly I am watching a guitar building video for the first time. What was the thing you put under the frets (blue long thing)? Is it also a piece of pallet?
@dannylewisguitars2 күн бұрын
@@lakeoffire it was not part of the pallet! It’s called a truss rod. When the guitar is finished you can reach the truss rod through the sound hole with an Allen wrench. It’s used to counteract the tension of the strings and adjust the relief (bow) in the neck.
