Why did you not discuss National Insurance/ TAX, added on top, or effective tax rate. The UK literally screws you for tax. It's a rip off.

Get second hand apple stuff. That’s what we do for our employees. Last longer and cost less. 😊a couple of years old will still have years left and cost way less.

My salary is zero now….I retired last year! 🤣 When I was working, I saved and invested hard which allowed me to retire early. I drive a 12 year old car, live in a modest end of terrace house and don’t go on exotic holidays, but I enjoy a simple life.

How can a drop in mortgage rates be good news for buyers when it means prices will go up?

The Part you mention 'conscious planning and effort' brings me back to a period in my life when i started to make effort to save $100 a week, did this for 18 years. It wasn’t easy, but staying persistent paid off, I've watched my savings grow to $4M through investing. To see my small steps turn into something significant has been incredibly fulfilling.

to be realistic, Luck plays a significant role more-so than the resources to thrive with investing. without it, it's challenging to succeed

when its consistent, its not considered luck. I credit this to research that led me to Emily Ava Milligan, 93k into over four million and counting, only a top fund manager like her can achieve that

Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got to talking about investment and money. I started investing with $150k and in the first 2 months, my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and get more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.

Hi. I’ve been forced to find additional sources of income as I got retrenched. I barely have time to continue trading and watch my investments since I had my second child. Do you think I should take a break for a while from the market and focus on other things or return whenever I have free time or is it a continuous process? Thanks
@Mary-h2w

@@julie-e3t However, if you do not have access to a professional like Clementina Abate Russo, quitting your job to focus on trading may not be the best approach. It is important to consider all options and seek guidance from reliable sources before making any major decisions. Consulting with an AI or using automated trading systems can also be helpful in managing investments while balancing other commitments

I sympathise Ms Kaur with your dealings with HMRC who did not believe initially that I had paid the amount I stated on the tax return into a pension and "corrected " the return which meant they then demanded loads of money. I of course struggled then to communicate with them as they dont accept emails and dont answer the phone . Eventually when I sent in evidence they uncorrected by return only to still not issue the tax refund . Eventually I was told this was because they wanted to do additional security checks - I am still waiting . They are useless

You never mentioned another rise in Dividend tax and corporation tax, which l think they'll do next year making the U.K. even more uncompetitive. So now it's the hard working middle classes who have saved for years and even bought a couple of properties who are getting stripped of any profits through capital gains tax increases!

A good example of the power of exponentials is the Human Genome Project. After 1 year, the project had only mapped one ten thousandth of the genome, and the media at the time (that didn't understand exponentials) ran lots of stories along the lines of "This is a ridiculous endeavour, it's going to take 10,000 years". But it didn't. Because of the exponential growth of computing power, it only took another 12 years (and actually completed faster than anticipated).

Of course all sound advice but everyone’s circumstances are different and there is absolutely no point in living poor to die rich most especially when you haven’t dependents to leave your money to. Might sound strange particularly to a financial planner but I’m not that interested in doubling or trembling my wealth, the more money there is the more you worry about it and the more you lose out to the tax man especially under a socialist government! Best to pay off all debts including a mortgage and make sure your outgoings are slightly under your incomings. Keep it simple, be sensible but enjoy life and if you can afford it have a nice car, and nice clothes and a nice holidays etc, life is too short not to. Just one caveat, make sure you have enough squirrelled away for a care home if and when you should need to go into one, because well run and luxurious ones cost an absolute arm and a leg and you certainly don’t want to be in a state run one! Other than that I’m not living like a miser below my means to die rich.

Very good and clear presentation. This 60% tax is a nasty trap because it is almost invisible. There is probably no other country in the world which taxes the income in a lower bracket higher (60%) than the income above that bracket (45%). Absurd and unfair. In some countries this would be incompatible with the constitution. The tax office would be taken to court over this.
