My advice to everyone is this : if you want to grow big this year especially in your finances. Be willing to take risks. Saving is great but taking risks puts you on a pedestal where you wouldnt have to worry about savings as you do now. As always I love the advice of ask for A pay rise or find another job. Every financial numpty on KZbin says the same thing. If your working A minimum wage job there is no asking for A pay rise and most minimum wage jobs are low skilled so finding a new job is not that simple.

How does this work in a world in the midst of a cost of living crisis coupled with a government that’s taking 60% tax at the upper bracket and mortgage interest rates at an all time high (as of last year when I took one out).

In the UK pensions are a poor form of investments and security now... Retirement age is now getting reviewed and government are really wanting to increase it to 70... Life expectancy in UK is 78, so other words, your pension will be used to fund government in care assistance for you, and only 13% of people in UK live over 70.... Enough said in my eyes!!

Thank you for your video. i enjoyed listening to you. What you say is everything I have taught my own sons growing up - plan ahead and live within your means. I would say to people that if money is tight then learn to avoid paying for unnecessary things - junk food, expensive coffee, branded cola, eating at restaurants, smoking, excessive alcohol - if necessary buy a flask and a sandwich box - you can still treat yourself to good quality tasty treats from within your weekly shopping budget. Cook your own food and eat properly only at meal times. overall, you will become self reliant and more healthy. Having retired I now keep an allotment - my partner and I grow about 80 percent of our vegetables needs each year. All of this is grown without any chemicals whatsoever - albeit I end up also feeding half the wildlife and avian species of south Oxfordshire and have to not be squeamish about dealing with the odd bug in lettuce, maggots when shelling peas or cutting gnawed bits away from fruit. If you have never had a meal with vegetables or salad that has literally just been picked before preparation then you haven't lived - you have never tasted how food ought to be. (Apart from earning a health suntan working in the open air, another benefit is becoming everybody's favourite neighbour when you are handing out spare fresh strawberries, raspberries etc. for free. This alone can get you regularly invited to neighbourhood barbeques).
