Why the Blender devs insist on making thing complicated and down right moronic? I just don't get this program. If I extrude a bone and the symmetry is on I expect it to just extrude another one on the other side (which ever axis is selected) why on earth do I need to name them for this to work? why do i have to make all one side and than do this moronic naming and copy to other side? why can't blender do things in an industry standard way? and the thing I hate the most is that blender devs NEVER EVER listen to criticism (even when not calling Blender moronic) and actually providing solutions/ideas and constructive criticism they insist on doing things differently in way that just makes UNESSECERY EXTRA STEPS THAT ARE UNINTUATIVE AF. regardless of my rant thank you for this video!

1:01 there was one file I had downloaded where it wouldnt show up in blender so I simply deleted it from my files as I spent quite a while trying to get it to show i my blender files. Then when I tried to download a different model there was no fbx file, only 4 different file saying .glb, .usdz, .gltf and another .glb so I’m not entirely sure either what to download or if there is something wrong with this model

Mine emits light, but does not create a glow (halo) effect. Am I missing a step? Thanks!

Can I make them different lengths? If I can't I don't understand how people use it for game development. I want to see animations being looped without manually changing the timeline.

very confused I Opened up the file BP_Rifle and went to Viewport I went to collision turned off collision, I went to rendering and hit hidden in game, I chose my static mesh lined the gun over the default after adding the static mesh component. When I compile and press play my weapon is in the game but when I pick it up its back to the default weapon. I've re watched this vid several times restarted my project and its the same outcome ever time.

Just in case someone runs into same issue as me: This did nothing to my enemy set up. Until i placed a sphere on it. Then i set the sphere as not visible. NOW the enemy gets destroyed as supposed. Wierd.

Hi, your Videos always are a positive contribution to my work. 👍 im shipping a demo for the first time and everything worked flawless thanks to your video! i was just wondering;❓ after setting all these parameters to "shipping build" etc.. i have continued to work alot on the project since i´ve gotten player feedback from this demo build (still with the shipping settings set) is there a downside to this practise? what exactly do these settings do can someone roughly explain? i have found that the "saved" folder gets bigger and bigger the more often i package a build is this the downside? if so, can i just delete this folder and continue working on my project? OR should i really change these settings back (via the video) and continue working in dev settings?

As helpful as this is it unfortunately does NOT work in all "WorkSpaces" !!! At least "2D-animation" and "2D Full Canvas" appear to have "this setting" "somewhere else" !!?? (It is like that for at least 4.3, and I believe it's been like that for "some time") Brgs

15:00 The selection order is important for applying Parent to Armature Deform > with automatic weights, [first select mesh then press the armature]. If we accidentally made the wrong approach, we can bring it back to the original state of the children by pressing ALR + P.
