@@noparlortrickz9834 Group content is absolutely atrocious in this game unless you can somehow get a classroom of good and dedicated players to complete the latest raids regularly. Pugging has become impossible at this point and it's all purposely designed to milk whales. Solo raids even if they provide 10% of the gold will prove how terrible and destructive the design philosophy has been so far, because nobody will go through the trouble anymore.

@@gr8b8m85 That's what I'm saying though. If group content feels too atrocious in an MMORPG then it isn't the right genre for some people. They should just buy an Xbox/PS5 single player game. And i think solo mode should give more than 10% gold. At least 50%. The question is how is this solo mode going to be implemented. I feel like it's gunna be rehearsal mode basically where dps will breeze through learning absolutely nothing in terms of normal attack patterns and major mechs since solo mode will totally revamp most mechs to be soloable. And support players struggling / putting in more work compared to dps ending up quitting. Or maybe solo mode is actually "hard" and make people realize they aren't as good as they think they are and either go back to group play to get carried/buy busses or something. Guess we'll find out.

@@noparlortrickz9834 the issue is that, while it's true that there is people that doesn't even bother to watch a guide of certain raids, more often than not the rest get their skills equivocally judged just by their roster level/gems/equipment in general, and there's no other significant way to prove otherwise besides letting them in and witness what they can and cannot do, and that (disgracefully) could end up being a waste of time. I think most people doing solo raids are going to be the people tired of not getting the means to progress enough to share their playtime with other people, regardless of being an aqcuaintance, friend or a complete unknown, and are trying to achieve certain standard to do so. After all, the beauty of an MMO greatly resides in the "multiplayer" part of the genre, and I don't think that anyone who plays it wants to play it alone

I personally believe that this game needs some kind of a solo endless farm. Right now there is not too much opportunities to play casually or just chill. Killing any raid over a thousand times isn't chill or fun, especially if someone making mistakes

Therefore, this game does nothing to restrict RMT and gatekeeping. But individual attacks can be a problem. Solo attacks are the last chance for this game and should be enough to make up for all other deficiencies. Or it's the end.

Good solo raids is the only thing that can save the game because group raids, RNG progression systems and the resulting gatekeeping ruined everything. There is no avenue for new players whatsoever. If it means group raids die, that just proves how terrible they are.

Solo raids are not meant for the last 3 gold earning raids (endgame content). The issues you are bringing up don't really apply. If solo raids don't offer gold at least 75/80% of group raids they will be a complete failure imo because no one will do them.

We still run the lower raids on my alts. And personally I’d run Brel solo any day of the week even if it gave only 30% gold. The amount of times I’ve been jailed g4 hm… sheesh. That’s just me tho. Maybe I’m the only one who thinks that.

@MisoxShiru well sure ya, but with solo raids more people would be getting to the 3 current raids faster and so would you with your alts cause you're not relying on anyone. So ya old raids aren't experienced as a group sure, but you can still go back and do them with people in like hell. Maybe Smilegate should make a easy mode hell where people can do it equalized in a group for fun. Kind of like rehearsal and maybe give titles to people who go in and clear them with mokokos. There's always ways they can improve the systems. It's not like they're just going to throw solos at us and be done with it.

If you dont get gold from the solo raids, thats not enough motivation to do them. You need gold to hone, not only mats. You could limit solo raids to nm, so hard mode still needs to be cleared as a group. Also regarding time spent, not everyone has 10h of free time and can blast their 6 chars through 18 raids plus normal homework in 2 days.

If the solo raids gave the same reward as the group content, there would be no such the problem as support shortage. Because everyone would do the solo. No more pain of waiting a decent sup, and after a long time accepting a weirdo with full spec and few 5 level gems to finally play the game. You may say the group content gives more fun. I say, the frist 3-5 times, sure it does. But when you are forced to farm the same raid on 6 characters over and over again, periodically jailed, it certainly does not. I think the following compromise is possible: *Make only the latest available raid as group content* (e.g. Thaemine) *and provide the solo mode with the same rewards to the old raids* (one of which is certainly the raid on Akkan).

The AG and SG note came out today, and the solo raids gave gold, and Ivory Tower will continue the same amount, I just don't know when the gold nerf will be given to the other raids. I would say that Brelshaza should drop from 8.5 (up to the 4th gate), to around 5k, and Akkan and Kayangel should be the same thing. Which I think is fair, considering, that they gave permanent engraving support, and 7 gems for free. It's a big cut in spending on gold in T3, I'm back to spending a lot only in T4, where there will be no gold nerf.

The mistake you are making is thinking those supports are doing all those raids. Personally, I have 5 of my top 6 characters as supports all above 1600 and the two that are below 1610 have not run any raids for ~3 months and due to how ungodly bad Theomine difficulty is for pugs I usually don’t do much more than Theomine on my 1610s (maybe one or two more raids between those 2). My main usually doesn’t get all 3 raids done each week either. So, solo raids would have to be insanely good to get me to reduce my supports from the current party matching system.

I think the next big step for SG would be if future raid content were designed for variable groups. Then people who don't have a full guild or group for a raid can play with as many friends as they want and don't have to fill it up with random players. I think that would be the best solution against the toxic atmosphere in groups and the jails. Of course I know that it is difficult to implement. Nevertheless, I would love it if that ever happened, even if I know that it is absolutely unrealistic xD

Solo raid would be very useful for those who work or study and have a little time, so the player doesn't fall behind in relation to the others, if they do it right it will be something very positive for the game

Even if solo raids hurt group party finder, I think they should still make them really good rewards because at the very least, solo raids give all players an option, the issue with group party finder was literally people could not even get in the raid to begin with

and solo raids will give gold and mats, not as much as a normal raid, but here i dont need to be jailed i can just learn and get better gear until i get enough item level to not get jailed. And this will probably fix bussing, since now you can just do it solo, so you can keep your gold and learn the fight. this should have been a feture when the game came out tbh

Solo raids are the only reason i'm considering getting back into lost ark, the game is so good yet the raids are so overwhelming for players who just dip in and out of the game every so ofter for a couple of weeks. Only ever doing learning parties is super taxing, usually only 10% of the time i'm actually playing, 90% of time just looking for a learning party for old raid. Doing the raids solo will be my way to learn raids. But if no gold rewards at all my characters will get stuck over time as I won't have gold to hone, and by the time i'm like fully ready for group raids tactic wise, i'll be behind on other progression systems and will be gatekept there. I hate gatekeeping but it will never go away and i understand it. But the solo raid can fix that for me but need to be able to earn gold with it,, otherwise progression halts and fall way way behind. You should WANT to do partyfinder based on it's more fun to interact with people not HAVE to do it cuz it's more gold efficient

Solo raids is a very good thing ultimately. They can’t cater to all players, but this caters to the majority, therefore it’s a win. The fact that more players can play the game now is what the game needs.

Idk if you thought of this, but if we get solo raids (hopefully at the same time as Korea) I don't think we'll be pulling supports from these "buckets". They say we'll get solo raids up to voldis, but if it comes out after Echidna we probably won't get solo voldis till Behemoth and Korea probably will get solo voldis since it's not in their top 3 earning raids but it is for us still. So we'll probably get up to solo akkan and if it comes before Echidna till solo Kayangel. Just seems the most logical to me.

This is the mentality of a gate keeper, you are not taking into consideration low roster lvl / low cards / low elixir people that get jailed after joining the games for months/years. This game is dying because not everyone can put in 4000 hours before getting accepted in grps. They want to save the game by attracting new players and casual players

People without normal jobs finish all 18 of their raids by Friday. Everyone I know who works a normal 9-5 either doesn't run all their raids or barely gets them done by Monday/Tuesday. Also, I don't think solo raids will include Thaemine/Voldis at least for now. I think the intention is they will be 2 to 3 raids behind the newest raid.

I had no idea what you were drawing at the start of the video on my phone the very thin red line on a black back ground very poor choice. And honestly my take is this since we are speculating anyways. Highly likely people will still do both anyways. For one and highly likely is the big question will players with their already made builds centering around raid set up be the same set up if they were to do solo raid? Highly likely not because of the news alluding around engraving changes are what will make solo even worth doing. Because a high majority of classes using things like raid captain. A very conditional dmg engraving that's centered around a support with yearning is a thing. That's just the speculations and then guess what a lot of people will end up redoing all their elixirs and stack vagabond for solo raid to cheese for free dmg. And that there is what's called scummy money for SG.

What I would love to see is if they did this instead. I'll use voldis for example. G1 party play G2 swap to solo G3 party play G4 you can solo like the raiding amount is the same 4 gates just giving the option to solo any point of their characters raid progression I would say is the more ideal option also another example. Gate clears 1 person DC and now your in G2 akkan jail on day before reset. Swap to solo raid and then party play G3.

I’m excited to finally give this game another try with solo raids. I’ve never played an MMO with this extent of gatekeeping and the learning curve while not hard is a lot regardless. The fact new players have to catch up on 100 systems only to be met with gatekeeping and learning lobbies taking hours to fill. It’s just a waste of time to play Lost Arks group content unless you’re ultra sweaty unlike pretty much every MMO out there.

There's 0 point for supports to go and do solo raids, unless it's their very first prog run. If a sup is absolutely dogshit they'll still get INSTA accepted to a veteran group raid and get carried. Solo raids is pretty much just for dps nubs that aren't juiced or don't have 10x titles, 40 sets, etc.

I think they should make solo raids as tough and rewarding as party raids if not harder since its solo, vs having a party fopr an easier time similar how 4 man raids are harder than 8 man in a way because every person has more responsibility. I don't think you should be forced to play with other people in such old raids. i like the idea of the top 3 raids being group content and everything else being solo content, this way you can do group raids on your main chars, and on alt chars u dont need to worry about finding groups or pairing with new people or sitting in lobby sim for such older raids. I have 3 chars that still take clown gold, and all my friends are doing akkan+ on all their chars so im forced to lobby sim for clow, brel nm and kaya nm which are somewhat hard to get into/find people for. i shouldent need to sit in lobby sim for such old raids

I just see a lot of people scared of solo raids because of whatever reason. This is what the game needs, solo content is what keeps mmos alive nowadays. If BDO focused on multiplayer content only, it would have been dead a long time ago but it's still has consistently better numbers than Lost Ark. Smilegate already took advange of the hardcore players, they know they can't squeeze them more and keep the game alive at the same time, they are now shifting to casuals and solo enjoyers.

Solo Raids need to give gold. There's no point in getting the materials if you don't get the means of progression. No, solo raids will barely affect party finder after like 1540+. The support shortage will not get "worse" with solo raids. The party finder experience will not get worse. The people who will benefit from solo raids are already not in the party finder pool. They are only interacting with party finder to pay for busses. Everyone has this mindset that a solo system giving gold is not good because it potentially helps bots. You should never make the experience to new players worse because you can't punish bots properly.

If I would get 10-30% gold from solo raid I will not even bother to do them and if will be group finder lobby simulator like it is now I will stop playing, simple. I am not crazy to spend +-30 minutes in raid for 1-2k gold which is not even one tap in honing. I think that solo raids should have very decent rewards (gold as well) and be viable alternative and then I see no problem in people doing one or anothe based on personal preference. Sure, group raids should be give better rewards, but it should not be like solo raids are basically pointless. Force people to wannabe group activity is not working, people like MMO but people also like to play solo and honestly I see no problem in that, in 90% cases you do not write in raid single word besides some positional stuff, there are no social interactions. For example now is in EUC 2:50 AM, I would like to do some raids on my second roster, but there are basically no lobbies, other days I am rejected 5 times because I got no LoS 30, I can often clean raid faster than get into group...

I'm trying to find some streamers that can look at the good side of the game.. everyone just rants and spread the negative side of the game.. and they still play, stream and post video.. LOL why play and stream if it's all negative things you see in the game? because it gets more view/streams? I'm not a content creator so idk why play if it's all negative stuff you see.. As content creators we love the game. But I think it’s ignorant to act like nothing is wrong with the game when there is something wrong with the game. If there’s a problem with the game and we all acted like there is no problem then change is probably not gonna happen right? You can come onto our streams and I’d say most ppl are just there having fun and enjoying the game but if you are just watching KZbin videos you might not be able to see that. So yeah I still enjoy the game and love it. I play it everyday for hours for a reason but I think it would be irresponsible if I weren’t making videos talking about the issues at hand. I make positive videos when there’s things to praise about the game and I make critiques when there are problems. Simple as that.

Full gold rewards, but make it roster bound. Can only be used for progression and not the auction house.

That is an interesting idea. Bound gold make it exclusive for honing so new players won't be able to buy gear from auction house though. It's interesting and an incentive for new players to try the party content after they are confortable with solo raiding.

Everything should be a solo raid cause this game design is donkey. I personally like raiding in MMO and always have but this game is something else lol. I want solo raids but it should be on the same level of 4/8 man raid but it should just be solo able, instead of having a complete separate instance for solo. I want it to be hard but do able for solo players. Imo all Abbysal/Legion Raids should be solo and they should just make a separate thing like 10 man raid etc instead which actually players and it actually hard. the way the game is set up is just crazy and if you like it and dont see a problem then you need a therapist lol. I do like the game ofc but there's just too many flaws which can be improved to make the game even better

Why is no one talking about solo raids as a solution to busses ?! When you buy busses you get no gold anyway since you pay for tickets, you just do them for mats to progress. for returning/new players busses are a turnoff: not playing the game, not learning, just so you can progress to the top raids. solo content means less mechs to learn/less jails, since you will only need to learn the top, non solo raids. The dilution of the party search pool also makes no sense! solo raids would bring even more people to party content level. it is not like 1630+ do only highest level raids, if they feel like it , they can do brel or some chiller content.

Just stop the one shots. And lower roster gold, up the gold rewards. Everyone happy, less pressure, would bring back old player. Solo encounters will do little to help the Fomo, the pressure remains and the punishment is too high.

Just want to add; if solo gives equal/better rewards such as equal gold or close to equal gold which makes DPS players want to do solo than group which affects group finder there's going to be another future issue. Supports will try to do solo and as you agree they will have a tougher time than DPS and it will most likely be a pain in the ass compared to doing it say on a DPS character. So what happens? Any new support/budding support player will stop playing support, convert to a dps class which further increases the dps pool, or quit the game. Now you got these dps players finally get to end game. Well there's no new support players from down there maybe. Now you can join the rest of the scuffed dps players playing lobby simulator longer in thaemine hard+ lobbies :).

This comment got me kicked out of a discord, rehearsal should be unlimited, low or no rewards no using ur weekly run of either raid u practice, a title after 5 or 8 clears and offerd a reward for carriying or bringing that guy in ur pt, gatekeeping be gone, this player would be immune to party wipe mechanics for a certain amount of runs until the new player graduates, from that raid.
