Something has definitely been lost. Taylor Swift passes for music now??? What happened??? No AutoTune, no click track, no computers. Just a tight band with this forgotten thing called talent.

Formosa had a bluesy, bruisy heavy reverb Jimi Hendrix style. Briggs had a beautifully melodic and clever style with all kinds different effects and pickings. Housden was a bit too radical for my conservative tastes.

I think he was only 16 when he did this song. I may be wrong either 15 or 16 brilliant voice absolutely brilliant it was before his time. I wish it was now in the same context of songs because they were the good days. They were the best days they were the days where everything wasinnocent to a degree and happy and we all had fun and he is absolutely gorgeous. Obviously he’s older now but I’m sure it’s hard and soul in mind. It’s gorgeous. I’d love to meet him.❤❤❤ 🇦🇺🌷🌷

The only two Little River Band lineups that really mattered ... 1/ ORIGINAL LINEUP - Shorrock, Birtles, Goble, Pellicci, Formosa, McLachlan 2/ "CLASSIC" LINEUP - Shorrock, Birtles, Goble, Pellicci, Briggs, McArdle Imho, it is absolute disgrace that Ric Formosa and Roger McLachlan were not inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame with the others. It was great to see Derek acknowledge them at the induction ceremony. But, Ric and Roger were every bit as important as any of those that took over from them afterwards. This in no way disrespects David Briggs or George McArdle who are incredible musicians in their own right and became a pivotal part of LRB as the band journeyed beyond Australia. But LRB's first and second albums were critical to LRB's success and both Ric and Roger made a huge contribution to that. "It's A Long Way There" is probably LRB's most artistic peice of work. It features both Ric and Roger. And if you listen to what both of them are playing on that track, it is hard to deny that they were not part of LRB's classic and original sound. Personally, I curse the day that that Australian Music Journalist, identified a "Classic" Lineup because it seemed to consign Ric and Roger to playing "Bit" parts. Anyone who listens to LRB's early albums knows that is simply not true. If LRB is ever inducted into the American Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I hope both Ric Formosa and Roger McLachlan get the credit they deserve.
