I'm a independient musician of black metal and viking metal,and i stay composing 10 songs for my album debut and in the 10th song i want to do an outro and i want to the outro be with a tagelharpa and i don't have this instrument,and i don't have money. @@le_unclebear yes I do make them. I don't really have any videos of the process but there are some photos on my Instagram. It's not really all that entertaining since I use a CNC machine for the bulk of the material removal.

@@f3rdy1307thank you! it's tuned C3 C2 G2 with bass string in the middle. The strings are 1/4 cello c g and a strings.

This reminds me of everytime i heard a musician in the woods hitting a flow state. You always wanna call out or see it but you just have to sit down and enjoy whatever view you have while you feel the music. Thanks for the upload and playing music in the woods. If my ask what is the scale, string gauges and order on the instrument

@@Cj12sings this one has a scale length of ~480mm and is using 1/8 scale cello c g and d strings (mix of different brands). It has the bass string in the middle so C3 C2 G2 from top to bottom

@@Cj12sings if you were to make one similar I would move up to 1/4 scale cello strings and scale length. The lower 2 strings on this one can be very finicky to play on. I might make another some day to try to improve on it but just work around it's limits for now

Greetings brother. A very responsive instrument and excellent playing technique. Authentic melody. as I understand it, this is a medium tallharpa, something between a bass and a small tallharpa?

Thank you. Yes it's on the larger side of "normal" it has a 16cm scale length and is tuned D3 A3 D4 here though I usually play it C3 G3 C4.

@@max_reznik_nigde your bass sounds pretty good to me! A lot of these are how they are miced I've found. I went through a bunch of different things but the room they're in makes so much difference it's hard.

Thank you. I built this one around 1/4 scale cello strings so the scale length is around 21.5" I usually tune around c2 g2 c3 but this one is playable down to a B and up to D before it starts getting funky.

Thank you. It's hard to say really; I pick up some things easily and quickly and others not so much. The talharpa I picked up on pretty fast; I was a competent piano and guitar player but hadn't touched an instrument in about 15 years prior to this. I would say is probably a little easier than a violin but harder than guitar or fretted instruments.

I think in this video I was using viola C and G strings for the lower 2 and a 1/4 scale cello A string for the high string. I'm mostly using viola C G and D strings these days.

Have you ever thought about getting paid for creating soundtracks for games. This is fire and I totally see this as a total banger if its put in a fantasy, norse themed action game!
