The relationship between Ireland and the EU is a very different one to that of the UK and the EU. Both countries joined the Common market on the same day and it would be fair to say that it was the UK that was the prize for the Europeans and not Ireland. Whilst the UK has pumped billions into the EU and received only a fraction of that money back in regional funding, Ireland has received billions in handouts dragging Ireland into prosperity from a second world nation with crappy roads filled with antique cars. The UK has funded pretty much every road and bridge in Spain and Portugal and subsidised the whole of France's peasant farm industry. Whatever your politics on Brexit the position of the UK and how it has been taken advantage of needs to be recognised. The EU may have been a cash cow for Ireland but not for every member state.

Ireland has a good culture but it'll die out of you don't stop immigration, it's happend in most towns in England, Ireland will get the same
