I remember this time in 80's rock. Vinnie was PISSED at KISS and wanted to show them how to really rock. He felt they stifled him on guitar and he wanted to let loose; man did he ever. Crazy stuff obviously fulled by LOTS of blow.

"Invasion" was the only decent song on this record. The next one had Love Kills and Time Of Year. Those were really good.

Fleischman had a hell of a voice. So sad it only lasted one album with them. I loved his Journey stuff in the 70's as well.

The video had really high production and the album mix is fantastic, but it just goes to show how ruthless the music business is even if you have hit songs. If you can't get marketing or a tour going to promote the new album, it won't go far.

Man, I love this song. It is the best 80s song I have heard. This band had so much potential; you can hear it here and on that time of the year. But how long would they have had time until, in a couple of years, grunge came around and hair metal basically disappeared? I also like to think this is quite close to what Guns n' Roses would have sounded like if they had chosen to play hair metal. And damn I love the vocal line on 0:40 . Really amazing vocalist. And nobody talks about how badass Vinnie was with solo and with pick scrape 4:06 . One of the coolest things in 80s music videos or any video for that matter. Way more badass than George Lynch on Dream Warriors. Vinnie was one of the best-looking guys around, he was hair metal to the bone.

Wow.. More prima facia evidence that SOMETHING had to come along to KILL this brain-dead era of pop/rock chart dominance [1985-1992] which spandex/poodle "metal" possessed [like a held hostage] over the U.S.'s record-buying public.. Just so happened it was Nirvana/"grunge" > but really, it coulda been ANYTHING.. Cuz the DO NOT SELL PAST "date" on the clowning around perpetrated by the faceless hordes of "babe on each arm" chowderheads such as Vinnie Vincent and his ilk had LONG SINCE EXPIRED.. I am well aware that the knuckleheads from Ratt • Motley Crue • Poison • Cinderella • et al > LOVE to bemoan the arrival of the flannel-clad sasquatch rockers from the American Northwest putting an end to their [undeserved] pot o' gold/license to spread VD in every city which had a 20,000-seater hockey barn that would put up w/their medium-talent shenanigans.. But > seven(7) YEARS?!?.. I defy you to name any other SPECIFIC sub-genre in the history of pop/rock chart "action" [1955 to present] which has enjoyed such a prolonged reign.. These pompodour'd rocket scientists had it SO GOOD > for SO LONG > that they started to assume it was a god-given birthright.. Well.. All "good" things must come to an end.. And this "video" could very well be held up as EXHIBIT A in a high court of law [or its equivalent] for the eventual burning down of the whole f*ckin' institution.. And speaking of "burning" > I [personally] coulda used a HELLUVA LOT MORE of that mysterious burning medieval knight [or whatever he was supposed to be] who invaded the "fun" for an all too brief and unfathomable flash near the end of the clip.. Now THAT coulda been something WORTH GETTING BEHIND.. Stumbling, lit-ablaze harbingers of doom > terrorizing candy-assed, poofed-up hair metal bands?.. Hey.. I woulda been a "fan"..

I'm sorry this is every bit as bad as it was back in '86. Is that a guitar solo or an epileptic fit?? I can pound a microphone against a guitar too, maybe I'm a guitar god!! Silly, gaudy and embarrassing. The 80's was full of fantastic music and especially metal, but this ain't it.

vinnie wrote great rhythm riffs, i think, with some evidence he stole lots of songs, and the solos were vomited streams of notes. i enjoyed it, in the late 80's but haven't played it since then.
