I have this 9055 code, but my alternator has been good for the 3+ years I’ve had the car. It is currently able to charge the way it’s supposed to. I have no indication that the alternator isn’t working. All I know is that my auxiliary battery is not charging, I get the 9055 code, and the convenience functions off and visit workshop messages. With the car off, trunk battery reads 12.6, AUX battery reads 12.6. With car running, trunk battery reads 14.2, AUX battery reads 12.6. I’m losing my mind over this.

I have to ask you a question. I'm guessing this is a mercedes. Are you still having the problem? What year and model is it?
@OuterDemons2 ай бұрын
@ 2005 E320 CDI. The problem vanished on its own. In the end, I replaced one at a time the AUX battery, the AUX battery relay, and the battery control module. At no time were any of the replacement parts on the car at the same time. For example, I replaced the AUX battery first. When that didn’t work I put the original battery back in. THEN I changed the relay. When that didn’t work I put the original relay back in, etc. All of the original parts are back on the car now. I just gave up pretty much, and then one day, the problem was just gone. No idea why.

@robertgarcia23 ай бұрын
I agree with you, I think the radiator cap is not the right one. I have been researching this type of cars and I realized that they have another defect, this is that when you fill the antifreeze tank to the maximum it starts to overflow, so you should only put it to the minimum, and this way you will avoid it from overflowing, and you will not have any problem with your car overheating.

If you're doing a head job on an engine, you need to know what you're doing. If you're looking for a how to do it in my opinion you shouldn't be doing it, because its not for beginners. I don't have to read nor get taught how to pull a head off an engine. I only need a book for torque specs and timing alignment. I'm not trying to be a smart @s. Some of these timing jobs can be a little intimidating.

So I actually own and run a mechanic shop. Just today I had a customer come in 2010 mkz 3.5L. P0351/355 and P0300. Cylinder 1 and 5 coils were melted like that- thought okay let’s replace them shit happens. Replace them and same thing almost immediately- started looking up tsbs and found where ford has an issue with this engine as there is no circuit fault protectant built in- minus the 15amp fuse to supply charge- back to the pcm. Essentially the coil shorts and it’s a 2 way street sending that circuit about 15-50k volts* idk what these produce* back through the line and frying the PCM. Ohmed the wires for continuity- no short to ground or power. Had to replace and program the pcm to fix repair. Also per ford TSB- you have to replace all coils and plugs and then the pcm or they don’t warranty it. Tight lines bro! -GoneFishingGarage

The main problem is that cheap asf shifter cable that gets stuck somewhere in the way back or forth thats what is burning transmissions since we dont pay attention to the weird sounds that makes because its driving just fine...nevertheless its wearing out the transmission faster than it should not shifting right into the right fork or gear letting it jump back and forth if it wants

Hello AK, I was wondering if the alternators you put in first charged for a while with normal voltage 14+ even with load like high beam, full ac, heated seats and so on and then stopped charging because terminal 61 would not talk back to the computer modules resulting in fault codes 9050,9051 and 9055 from BCM. Best regards
@aksgarage3230Ай бұрын
The alternator did run the car but no blower motor, so there was no ac. A lot of functions didn't work. I drove around in the car with the 61 pin code and was charging but still had the battery light on.Right before I about to give up on the car the alternator stop charging. That alternator was my second one from O'Reillys.

@Pseudify4 ай бұрын
@@a.6115. Oil change every 5k miles. Exhaustive maintenance at 100k and 200k that includes all fluids, filters, etc, etc. These typically will cost around a grand which sounds like a lot but cheaper than paying 600 a month for a car payment. And when anything requires maintenance take care of it asap so that you don’t have issues accumulating and one bad thing causing a series of domino effects. I’m not sure what your second question means. “New payers”?
@aksgarage32302 ай бұрын
Honestly I believe when it comes to transmissions, keeping them cool is the trick. Especially hondas! External cooler would slow down the chances of cooking the fluid.

Why can't they make a new transmission that will fit ? Just had mine rebuild and it failed again after 1 month. I have 3 year unlimited mileage so it was replaced again, they said the band snapped. I have the SS and the mechanic said they are not able to handle the 300 + hp and tq. So why can't they build one that's able to handle up to 400+ hp and tq ?

Thanks for the video. Your video is the only one I can find for 2013 newer nissan engine. One question about your camshaft lobe position when the engine is put back together and in time. Do the first pistons camshaft lobes point out or are they pointed down and out a little? Not sure if you remember since making this video, but you have them covered with the cloth and I can't tell. Thanks

On a 4 cylinder it doesn't matter where the lobes are. It matters where the dot or marking on the cam gear is.
