Im a 2nd Degree Black belt in Juijitsu. These locks arent bad. In fact I've used these locks and more before in a bar, because im also a Bouncer. But u have to show those guys how to work those locks against a punch, and against a lapel grab. Things can go Kinetic very very quickly. Trust me, I know!.

Is this good for short LEO’s. I’m 5’7, how effective could this be for subjects who are over 5’10 to 6 foot tall dudes 🤣
@SamirSeif7 ай бұрын
Actually this is a great question and comes up often. I have a video and I believe my example subject is over 6’4 and 300lbs. I show the modifications, because as you rightly note you will have no leverage and it will turn out real bad. I have a modification that fixes this. If I can track it down I’ll post the link for you.

What is their reasoning for telling you not to use these techniques?
@iiparachuteregiment88008 ай бұрын
@SamirSeif They had no reason, but it attracted Lot of attention from other students wanted learn this. So they failed me twice just to make an example of me. The next C+R is in July which I know they going to fail me. The C+R instructors are telling other students that these techniques are BS as I failed

Can you explain why the "transport lock" is not effective unless it was the 1970s?
@SamirSeif8 ай бұрын
More of an expression of the evolution of our knowledge. Rotation brings greater shearing force on the wrist then flexion. Rotation also cuts off access to flexors and extensors. Not to say that transport lock with applied knowledge, experience and application of “ever concentric circling force “ is not effective. It’s just not as effective with bigger, badder, greater skilled subjects of the present day. As for the hammer lock, cutting off at the elbow, cuts them off to bicep/triceps access. Cupping behind the shoulder does not. 1970’s was more hyperbole on my part, to be clear of how far we have come.
@SamirSeif8 ай бұрын
I noticed your @name. I trained under Master Robert Doiron who led a chapter under (RIP) Maha Guru Brian “ Buzz” Smith back in the mid 80’s. Do you train kuntaw?

@@SamirSeif okay I'm going to have to test your theories out on someone to see how they move. I just know that in my experience I have used the whole shoulder lock and even using two hands to control their body better than if I control further away on their arm.
@MaharlikaAWA8 ай бұрын
@@SamirSeif Okay I tested your teaching on a fellow bouncer. No we are not huge guys or anything, just average security types. I believe you are correct and the position at the elbow is stronger to hold them and makes them feel more restricted than on the shoulder. I also tried out your wrist lock hold and compared the gooseneck, 70's variation as you say, with turning the fingers inward as you show on the video. While I think the gooseneck is still good and causes a lot of pain, you are correct that the fingers turning toward the person is actually tighter and stronger of a hold. You can still cause wrist and tendon pain with it. Thank you for this video! I will now use this stuff and I taught it to the other bouncer and we will use these techniques if necessary.

Is there an escape for this?
@SamirSeif4 ай бұрын
there is always an escape. In this is a roll. If I can find the escape ill post it.
@roberttorresmontoya4 ай бұрын
@@SamirSeif Thank you so much. I tried asking my coach and even he couldn’t find one. I hope to see it 😆
@SamirSeif4 ай бұрын
@@roberttorresmontoya Generally speaking you will always look for the circle in the movement. Meaning if you are trying to prevent an escape you must have ever-tightening concentric circles (small circles). If you want to escape you need to unravel that ever-tightening circle with a much larger circle. In this case, moving with the lock drives the shoulder that's pinned faster than they can pin it and flatten it out into a front roll.
