I will be honest, first time i watched this stuff, i was so far away from understanding But after i used obsidian for a day, and watched around 7-8 previous videos of yours i was able to understand this "tag" stuff how they are used and every other stuff After watching other previous videos of yours and coming back to this one had me started connecting the dots, and understand how this stuff works, and how you use it, Hahh! Feels good now.

This simpler system seems great. I'm tempted to re-structure my vault yet again. This method is more in line with what a Zettelkasten system should be, and it looks pretty easy to maintain. I'm a big fan of Obsidian, but at the moment, my desire to keep everything organised into tags and subtags is so mentally draining that I tend to use it less from feeling overwhelmed. In your opinion, would replacing the word 'Tag' (like for cooperation, meaning, criminal gang) with 'Topic' still make sense in the system? Then tags and the tags folder become the topics and topics folder.

I like to read sometimes I have read ikigai, the mountain is you etc. but it's been months I haven't read any. I like to make cinematic videos sometimes have made 1 but am not able to make more even though I want to. I can sing but not that good - achieved 4th position in my college. Earlier I wanted to be a Doctor but now I want to do a Government job or be a professor or a fashion designer or want to learn animation etc.. I DON'T KNOW WHAT I AM GONNA DO WITH MY LIFE MANNN ! I am so confused. Pls help me with itttt.... 🥲

How much I enjoyed your video! Your video "appeared to me" and I trusted... I started watching it. I decided to pay attention calmly. I enjoyed you greatly! THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing your reflections using Obsidian. In this video, there is much more than that. I would love to get in touch. I take it you live in the UK? It will be a pleasure to know more about you.

When you make an index, do you add future notes on the topic to the index as well? I've used something similar in my own notes, but always find it difficult to keep the index up to date as I don't always remember to revist it when I have a related idea

the idea with the tags is great. so there is finally order. I have one more tip. If you have a "1 tag" folder and create a note, you can add a real tag with # in this note, for example #keywords. With the "Auto Note Mover" plugin, you can then have the tag notes automatically moved to the "1 day" folder. Works great :-) Many thanks for the suggestion and all the best 🙂

Just have something lighter to read while you read something else rigorous. And go slowly. I don't agree with switching. This is a great way for me to ditch books and never come back to them. Once you start something, commit, and get rid of the notion that you need to finish something rigorous in a few weeks. Some tough books stick around for months while you slowly get through them. It's fine if you have something lighter to read meanwhile to take the edge off. But none of this switching because if a book is so daunting that you need to put it down for a while, it's only going to be more daunting when trying to convince yourself to pick it up again. Better to be consistent by reading a little bit everyday.

I haven't had the time to fully dive in and appreciate Obsidian yet as I have been very pre-occupied with life in general but as soon as I start to slow down again, I'll look at seeing the differences in my workflow for using Google's products, Chat GPT, and this when it comes to legal and financial research and information.

this video is simply amazing and open-minding. It's been almost 2 years that I have Goodreads, and my 2024 reading goal was 40 books. One thing that I've noticed lately is that I felt non-productive, demoralized, just because I am "9 books behind schedule". And I found myself trying to find strategies to achieve that goal "no matter what" (choosing short books, easy ones to read), just to increase that NUMBER. The point is that it's just a number and it doesn't say anything about the reading process, the learning process, as you've underlined in this video. I want to thank you, because while I was listening to you, I immediately opened the app and deleted the "2024 reading goal". It's amazing how little details can change our way of perceiving things and achieving goals!
