Im confused about adding the carbonation. i see him starting to carbonate the brew at the end of the video but i dont see him add it to anything. what is the point of that part?

This absolutely makes sense thinking about it. I had a serama hen with epilepsy and was told by a vet to give tumeric in her feed which helped with her seizures and of course the others where eating the feed, Sadly she passed away 2 years ago and for the past 2 summers, I have had red mite. Been using dergall which is great but am definately going to start adding tumeric to the feed again now,

I have to try this. I tried once a ginger beer that was brewed almost the same way. The guy added black tea. He said the tannin gives more interesting flavour to it. It tasted great…For higher abv i need to add more white sugar?

Great video, I was wondering how you could make this non alcoholic or near enough? Take away most of the sugar and only add the brown? Thanks

Excellent recepie. I'm wondering what kind of brown sugar you use? In the Netherlands, sugar is grown in Sugar beets. Our brown Sugar might just be fully fermentable, do you know if this is the case?

Good vid, ill give it a go. I was wondering... for my beer i use a mutton cloth "tea bag for" dry hopping, it really reduces the clogging and more importantly I can rack every single drop. It seems to me that the same method will work here. What do you think?
@cluckifikno3 ай бұрын
Hi, thanks! I’ve dry hopped the same way but I didn’t get as much flavour from the extraction so I didn’t try it again. If you can cold crash the beer all the hops drop out of suspension so you don’t loose much at all. With the ginger it’s a really big volume so I think that would be your biggest challenge. The last time I made it I fitted a hop bag around my syphon and that worked a treat.

@@cluckifikno Thanks for your reply. Yes, far less hops than ginger, but I can cut my bag as long as I need. With the hops, I really wring it out well to get every last bit. I'll go with your method first and use my little mesh "condoms" that fit over the Syphon intake. I went to get the ginger today, but it was £6.50/k. I buy ginger a lot for cooking and know it will come down. Again, thanks.
