I was diagnosed with optic nerve hypoplasia as an infant. I was told that my vision would naturally get better over time, but that it would hit a plateau. It stopped improving in my teenage years but never good enough for me to drive, and it has never gotten any worse

Thank you for sharing your experience with optic nerve hypoplasia (ONH). This condition, where the optic nerve is underdeveloped, often leads to lifelong visual limitations. As you described, it is common for vision to show some improvement during early childhood as the brain adapts, but to reach a plateau during adolescence when neural plasticity decreases. The positive side of ONH is that it is generally not a progressive condition, meaning your vision likely won’t worsen over time, as you’ve observed. However, the level of visual function achieved in adolescence usually remains stable into adulthood. At Fedorov Restore Vision Clinic, we focus on helping patients maximize their remaining vision and improve their quality of life. While the structural underdevelopment of the optic nerve itself cannot be reversed, therapies like ours aim to enhance the functional activity of the visual system. Some patients with conditions similar to yours have reported improvements in clarity, contrast sensitivity, and adaptation to changing light conditions after treatment. It’s important to note that outcomes vary from person to person, and significant changes may not always be possible. If you’re interested in exploring whether our therapy might help in your case, we’d be happy to review your medical history and discuss options in more detail. Please send us your message to [email protected] and we will send you detailed answer or call us +493020649289 between 9 am - 5 pm Berlin time during working days. Team Restore Vision Clinic

We are sorry to hear about your dad's situation. From your description, it seems like he might be experiencing complications related to his brain tumor surgery. The symptoms you mentioned-daily sickness, dizziness, muscle mass loss, fatigue, and significant weight loss-could be due to several reasons, including postoperative complications, effects of the tumor or its removal, or other underlying health issues. Here are some steps and advice that might help: Seek Medical Attention: Despite your dad's reluctance, it's crucial to get professional medical help. These symptoms need thorough evaluation by a doctor who can suggest appropriate treatments or interventions. Consider Home Care: If he refuses to go to the hospital, you might want to look into home care services where healthcare professionals can visit and provide necessary care at home. Nutritional Support: Muscle mass loss and weight loss can be addressed with nutritional support. Consult a dietitian who can recommend a high-protein, high-calorie diet, and possibly supplements to help regain strength and weight. Physical Therapy: Engaging in gentle physical exercises under the guidance of a physiotherapist can help improve muscle mass and overall physical condition. Mental Health Support: Feeling like he is dying can be a sign of depression or anxiety, common in patients with severe illnesses. Consulting a mental health professional could provide him with much-needed psychological support. Regular Monitoring: Keep a daily record of his symptoms, food intake, and activity levels. This information will be valuable for any healthcare professional involved in his care. Encouraging him to see a doctor, even if it's just for a home visit, is crucial. Sometimes, the involvement of a trusted family member or friend might help persuade him. Your support and understanding are essential during this challenging time.

@@thelittlehandyman9438 Thank you for your message. We are sorry to hear about your brother's vision challenges following his brain tumor surgery. Fedorov Restoration Therapy could potentially help stabilize or improve his vision, though outcomes can vary. Based on our experience patients with severe vision loss experience slight to moderate improvements, such as better visual acuity, contrast sensitivity, or expanded visual fields. However, these improvements aren't guaranteed, and in some cases, repeated treatments may be necessary to achieve the best results. Given his situation, it might be worthwhile to have his medical records reviewed by the clinic to see if this therapy could benefit him. If you're interested in exploring this further, please get in touch with us for an initial evaluation - [email protected]

What about a situation of methanol intoxication
@juliachibisova827
@juliachibisova827 9 ай бұрын
Thank you for your interest. For vision impairments potentially resulting from conditions like methanol intoxication, it's crucial to first receive appropriate medical treatment for the intoxication itself. Following stabilization, if there's residual visual impairment, specialized therapies might be considered. Restore Vision Clinic specializes in Fedorov Restoration Therapy, a non-invasive electrical stimulation treatment aimed at enhancing visual function in patients with various types of optic nerve and retinal damage. While the clinic's approach is tailored to improve or restore vision, the applicability of this therapy for vision loss specifically due to methanol intoxication would require a detailed evaluation by the clinic's specialists to determine the potential benefits and suitability based on the individual's condition and recovery status.

Hi there and thank you for your interest. In cases of non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), Fedorov Restoration Therapy has been successful in treating many patients since 1995. The therapy aims to enlargement of the visual field size, and follow-up results have shown that 80-85% of the improvements are stable one year after treatment. It's important to note that while the therapy has shown success, it does not guarantee benefits for everyone. In rare instances, there might be a relapse in NAION which could potentially affect the improvements achieved after the therapy. Patients with very severe or nearly complete optic nerve damage may not be eligible for the treatment. If there are concerns about whether a patient is a good candidate for the therapy, especially considering the possibility of NAION relapse, it is recommended to reach out to the clinic for further evaluation and to discuss any questions. The qualification for Fedorov Restoration Therapy is granted based on a reasonable probability that the patient will positively respond to the treatment and experience subsequent functional visual benefits. The clinic evaluates all potential contraindications to ensure the safety of the therapy. Please consider that we do not commucate here. Send us your message to [email protected] and we will send you detailed answer or call us +493020649289 between 9 am - 5 pm Berlin time during working days. Team Restore Vision Clinic

Hi there, thank you for your interest. Please consider that we do not commucate here. We received your completed checklist and soon you will get our email with all details related to your questions. Some useful details below: Fedorov Restoration Therapy is recommended to patients with optic nerve damage of different origins. But in certain medical conditions this treatment is beneficial to improve functional vision for patients suffering from local brain damages such as trauma, stroke or tumors which can cause hemianopia (lack of half of vision) or due to cerebral visual impairment (CVI) due to hypoxic conditions (lack of oxygen or blood supply), due to hydrocephalus (when fluid builds up in the brain), CNS infections, Head injury, or certain genetic disorders. We learned that efficiency of our therapy in each particular case depends on the size and location of brain damage as well as lesion age. In order to not give false hope, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that, in a number of such cases, our method appears to be unbeneficial.Team Restore Vision Clinic

Here's a concise overview of the key benefits of Fedorov Restoration Therapy, tailored for those with glaucoma-related visual impairments." 1. Purpose of the Therapy: The primary aim of Fedorov Restoration Therapy is not to treat glaucoma directly but to improve ocular complaints and in addition to slow down the vision loss caused by glaucomatous optic neuropathy. It seeks to enhance the functionality of the preserved cells on the retina and boost the activity of the entire visual system. 2. Expected Outcomes: While the therapy doesn't promise complete restoration. Patients have experienced increased contrast vision, more clarity, reduced glare, and improved vision in dark conditions. Also an enlargement of their field of vision in known positive outcome, though it might be limited to a 10-15-20% increase from the current baseline. 3. Safety: The therapy is non-invasive and non-surgical. It uses weak electrical current pulses to stimulate partially-damaged retinal cells. It doesn't increase intraocular pressure (IOP), which is a concern for glaucoma patients. 4. Duration of Effect: The positive changes from the therapy are typically stable. Most patients see improvements within 2 weeks, but the stable results manifest 4-8 weeks post-treatment. For many glaucoma patients, these results remain stable for 12-18 months, and in some cases, even up to 24 months. 5. Addressing Glaucoma: It's essential to understand that this therapy doesn't replace the need for glaucoma management. Before considering Fedorov Restoration Therapy, it's crucial to address high IOP and any other glaucoma-related issues with your local glaucoma specialist. If surgery is needed to manage your IOP, it's recommended to undergo that first. Participating in this therapy with uncontrolled or elevated IOP could lead to unstable results. It's vital to manage your IOP effectively before considering this treatment. The therapy employs a non-invasive technique, using weak electrical pulses to stimulate the partially damaged retinal cells. This stimulation enhances the overall functionality of the retina and boosts the entire visual system's activity. It's essential to understand that while the therapy offers these benefits, managing glaucoma and intraocular pressure (IOP) with a specialist remains crucial. In essence, Fedorov Restoration Therapy offers a complementary avenue to improve visual complaints due to glaucoma, enhancing the quality of life for many patients

Hi there. Thank you for your interest. Yes, we are dealing with vision restoration in case of glaucoma. Fedorov Restoration Therapy is a non-invasive and non-surgical way to naturally improve vision, with stable outcomes and without risks of side effects. These positive outcomes are accomplished through the application of weak electrical current pulses which stimulate partially-damaged retinal cells and improve the conductivity of signals to the brain. Our therapy cannot replace damaged cells or regenerate optic nerves; instead it increases the functionality of preserved cells on the retina and enhances the activity of the entire visual system.
