I was diagnosed a couple years back with I.O.N. in my left eye and eventually in about 6 months it also became an issue in my right eye. Vision is like looking in a hazy day all the time. Night driving is totally out. They think it was from lack of oxygen either by way of a blockage (stroke) or in sleep apnea. In the meantime, I have pretty much cured my sleep apnea with Marijuana that I take every night before going to bed. It has reduced my weight, eliminated my sleep apnea and lowered my need for diabetic medicine. I am now 67 and wish I could get back the vision I had before that all came about.

My optic nerve has atrophied and I had radiation treatment for retinoblastoma 40 years ago, now every night I wake up with weird lightshows and flashing black static. I can see my own arms covered in yellow fog and a glowing right 'flower' that I believe is a footprint of the radiation plaque they put in my eye when I was little.
