43:37 This question and the question about what holds us back at ~24:55 offers so much insight into our self talk when we want to communicate with others. Thank you Heidi and Rachel! I’m wondering if there are any tools for developing speaking skills while healing unresolved trauma. 🙏🏼

I've had surgery you still have to start at step one and take care after surgery it's going to be slow it's going to hurt after the Dr has cleared you. Physical therapy it's the crawl before you can walk to work through scar tissue.

13:27 The anorexia to bulimia shift... When I went through that stage of my eating disorder it totally messed with my mind. For me, I was just in a situation where I had to eat for the sake of those around me during a family gathering and when I went to the washroom it just occurred to me that I could get rid of what I ate. I didn't (and never needed to) induce vomiting using my fingers or any other object down my throat because it just happened "naturally" - my eating disordered brain just told my body what to do from the first time and purging was, 90% of the time, quick and painless to the extent that no one ever questioned what I was doing in the washroom after eating. I believed that I was talented, a secret talent. I was diagnosed with anorexia but specifically described as as a "purging anorexic" which is not an official DSM term but it was the best the doctors could come up with to describe me as I didn't binge or over exercise at the time; my body and mind was just prone to disinterest in eating and keeping food out of the body with the motivation to lose weight beyond what is healthy. It started When I was 11 years old and now I'm 36 and I'm still dealing and in recovery and it's always going to be a day-to-day thing especially when your body starts to change again each decade that you live.

When I'm trying to lose fat, I DO weigh myself every day, but I realize I can fluctuate naturally up to 5 lbs in a day, and that's NOT fat. (to gain a pound of fat in a day you'd have to eat 3500 calories more than you burned in one day, IF you can get your body to turn it all to fat. Highly unlikely.) So what I'm looking for is trends over time. If you're weighing, on average, less than you did on average last week, you're doing great. And yes, great point about consistency and wearing ... um ... very little :-) If you weigh only once a week, you MIGHT have caught yourself on a day you were less hydrated last week, or had less waste inside of you, and this week you were more hydrated or had more waste in you, and you'd freak out thinking maybe you gained weight when, in fact, you may actually have lost some. This is why I do it every day and look for trends. You're not looking for a number. You're looking for a trend. Same clothing, same scale, and yes, same time of day.

Hi, I'm glad to see you. I'm kinda sad to see how lost you are. If you start looking at life, nature and at yourself from the right perspective, you will be able to realize there's only One who can fulfill this huge hole and emptiness everyone sees right through you. Im talking about Jesus Christ. Hope you can have a real encounter with Him.

This is in no way a critique of the video itself, which so far seems very heartfelt and admirable, but KZbin REALLY needs to do something about its ads. I shit you not, I got a weight loss ad just a few minutes into this very video. I've been watching documentaries and personal stories about eating disorders, and KZbin's been giving me both information about ED helplines AND ads for weight loss programs and supplements, and a couple days ago I also got one for frozen cake because why not I guess. Seriously - I'm not a computer scientist nor a programmer or anything, but I really feel like there needs to be some either/or function in the relevant algorithm(s), where maybe they don't run weight loss ads in videos that include eating disorder helplines in the descriptions, or in videos whose titles include terms like 'anorexia' or 'eating disorder.'
