Hi Martino, thanks for the comment and great suggestion. As you can tell from my age and the grey hair, computers, tech and software isn’t my strong point. Much of the work was manually keeping records in my day. I’m sure there’s some fantastic software out there to streamline things now, I just don’t have the expertise to comment on it. Hi Densly, sorry for the delayed reply. Ecommerce and emarketing I have to confess is not my specialty. It was really before my time so I had to deal with much more bricks and mortar and when it came to advertising, it was newspaper ads, yellow pages, magazine ads and taking up more ads inside some of the old directories specifically for logistics. It really was a different time and a different game. Nowadays, the world is quite literally at your feet through your laptop and a mobile. You can get your name out there with enough perseverance and determination through the various social platforms now, setup shop online with platforms like Shopify and with sites like vujis.com/, you even have access to contact details of buyers all over the world. So really, it's a different world and I see it now as one with so much opportunity so many different ways to market yourself and if I was to do it all over again as a young man, I would really attack it head on. You're right, using data has been around for a while, but the way you can use it with Vujis is much more efficient. There's not much info on this company on Infodrive, but after careful inspection, they don't offer the same coverage of data as Vujis. Each country sells their data sometimes for hundreds of thousands of dollars. You may get export data, but not from as many countries as Vujis. It's expensive, depending on what your goal is. If a company finds a buyer that orders $40,000/month of product and they get a 10% margin, they make $48,000 profit from getting one customer using Vujis-all for a price of $5,000. That's a 10x return on investment. It may not be the best fit for you depending on where you are with your business and what your needs are, but for some people, it's a great deal. You can make the choice as to that.

Well, I'm not really in the shipping business. You would need to crew the ship and no doubt there is alot to owning a cargo vessel and that's not my area of expertise. So there are much more qualified people out there to handle this type of investment.

Hi Stephen, I would love to but to be completely honest, I don't remember the dollar amounts. The figures and details are distant memories for me now, as proven by my grey hair. Even if I did remember, I've no idea what it would be adjusted for inflation etc. I can tell you I made a good living, one that I enjoyed, I enjoyed the challenges it brought, being my own boss but naturally had to handle the stresses that came with it. It's all a part of the game of life and what you must learn along the way 😀
