I was testing it recently. It is so interesting combination. ABS 3 is a great option for doing a smooth transition from pips to anti, because it is slow enough to do movements with big range without losing control. The blade is definitely my favourite one for pips and antis, I would keep it for some years. Rakza is also a good middle step between tacky and tensor kind of rubbers. I’m so happy with the result.

Wonderful compilation of various very lovely techniques and how to perform these. Thanks, Diego! What also fascinates me is a technique how to hit hard with lps, similar to a counter or even shot. Maybe there is some reference material, too. The thing is that the incoming ball is - when the opponent reaches this ball - mostly played with an attempt of top spin. But due to the quick loss of speed the opponent plays the ball to short or best case into the net. This works best with very fast blades, OFF or even OFF+.

With out being cured it is a common rubber, not so interesting, and because people now a days like to compete, it is not an option that people will prefer out of others in the market.

Hola Diego, compre una goma ox usada que venia con pegamento de su anterior pala. Y me esta costando mucho despegarlo. Tienes algun consejo para darme?
@diegox.longpipsАй бұрын
Saludos
@Agustin-s2uАй бұрын

How would you recommend to start up a KZbin or social media channel to do with table tennis. I am currently ranked top 100 in my country for under 15s but i think companies will want me to have a bit more publicity and im not really sure where to start
@diegox.longpipsАй бұрын
This is a good question. I will recommend first to find a niche. There is a lot of content about table tennis on KZbin, but what will you do different? Maybe the way you will express your ideas, the kind of edition you do, the brands that you will speak about, the technique… there are many possibilities. The second aspect is what question do you think is not answered yet on KZbin? You can think on your own experience when you try to find some information on KZbin and you don’t find it. Then go for this information, answer to people the same questions you have and you don’t find answers here. And third, and the most important thing, just do it. Some time we think so much if we can do it or how to do it, but at the end the important thing is to do it. Then the answer of the subscribers, and the interactions, will show you the way. PD: Remember to make friends on the process, for me subscribers are my friends, I try to be available all the time for answering questions and making a friendship in the process. This is also helpful. I hope this is useful, if you have more questions don’t hesitate to ask.

What is your thoughts on Butterfly Feint Long II
@diegox.longpipsАй бұрын
Amazing durability, stable performance, good spin reversal, getting obsolete in terms of putting pressure close to the table. I think it is a good rubber but now that there is a lot of competence, Butterfly is not putting so much efforts to improve their pips and antis. There are specialised brands doing a better work, keeping lower prices and developing new technologies on this areas.

hi diego, I'm writing to you because right now I would like to try several long pimples, but unfortunately due to my financial resources I'm not able to do so. Regarding the following OXs, in case you have tried them, could you tell me what you think: -p4V -p1V -Monkey -Hellfire -kamikaze If you have any honorable mentions I will be happy to hear them. Thank you in advance, greetings from Italy.
@diegox.longpips2 ай бұрын
Hi Alex, all of them, except Kamikaze I have tried in the past. The one that I was using the most was the P1V, this is my favorite because of the big amount of spin reversal you can get with it. Also is kind of a slow one, that makes it so good for blocking close to the table, not that easy for attacking, but still possible with the right technique. P4V is a good one for defending far from the table, so stable and little bit faster in OX than p1v. Monkey is súper fast, you really need a good technique for controlling it properly. If you will use monkey, use it with a slow blade. Hellfire X my favorite one from S&T, good spin reversal close to the table, easy to attack and good disruptive effect. Kamikaze, is from a brand that I cannot recommend, sorry for that.
@alexcominelli95432 ай бұрын
@@diegox.longpips Thank you, I really appreciate your availability. Strange for the monkey who, from how they describe it on the official website, seems slow and easy to control.
@diegox.longpips2 ай бұрын
@alexcominelli9543 my pleasure. I love to speak about table tennis and answering as many questions as I can. About monkey, I think it was designed thinking on attacking and controlling with it, more than defending. Although that, with an OFF- blade, you can reach a good balance. Even Sebastian Sauer uses it in Unicorn blade in stead of Banana blade that is an OFF one
@alexcominelli95432 ай бұрын
@@diegox.longpips I was thinking of pairing it with an OSP Virtuoso AC which is a very balanced blade. My fear is of having a backhand that is too fast and difficult to control, at the same time I am very curious to try it. I saw from how Sebastian uses it that it is very linear, the ball stays low and he always hits it early. DrN's Desperado Reloaded also seems to have similar characteristics (another rubber I'm intrigued by) but there is little material on the web except for Leonardo Arata. I currently use the P4 ox, I always get to long pimples with a sponge, but I've noticed that I'm better at the table and now I'm finding out about the different types of OX rubbers on the market and among these the one that best suits my game. I have a game similar to yours, good forehand and with the backhand sometimes I prepare the right ball to attack it with the forehand (so a game of disturbance and positioning) other times I also attack.
@diegox.longpips2 ай бұрын
@@alexcominelli9543 well, in this case for staying close to the table maybe something slower. Actually Desperado is a bit slower and easy to control than Monkey, but still a rubber focus in putting pressure and attacking with it. I know that soon Dr. Neubauer will land a Trouble Maker II, that will be something that I’m sure will fantastic. I already test some prototypes and It can fit with your game style

In using long pips, the main purpose is to open opportunities for attacks. In this video, it's not because the way to use long pip is good, but because of his opponent who doesn't like to play with long pip. Simply exploiting your opponent's mistakes is not a smart way to advance your own game. He did not win, but his opponent lost.

I kindly disagree, I think attacking is not the only way to win. Putting pressure with pips or making the opponent make mistakes is also a valid a way to do it
