I just remember "I talk to the Wind" or "Cadence and Cascade". The best of KC.

Why is this a thing?! If you didn’t know the origins of this track, with a title like that, you’d think the wrong things about the artists. 💀

I love Robert's description of King Crimson being an approach, not a sound. So, too, his soundscapes, but also a tangible result- the sensation of communion, of peace. As an atheist, I feel a transit of calm with his soundscapes.

With this Album i was "Hooked" on RB and King Crimson. And Greg Lake was the greatest vocalist with KC!! But after their second album he started playing with ELP after the 3 first ELP it was over with them, for me it was i have to admit. But that's me. Love from Norway 😅🎉

Ultimately it has to be to do with emotional impact, the rush of euphoria, basking in beauty. Whether this is best achieved through technical understanding is up for debate, but I would suggest that it is about the sensitivity of the listener. I've received rushes of euphoria from King Crimson, a plenty. But also from Schubert, Abba, the Ronettes, Robert Johnson and a zillion others of varying complexity and sophistication.

I believe Fripp plays in D major, but avoids the 4th scale degree (G). About half way through, Eno plays the raised 4th (G#) in a repeated figure. Fripp does not play a G or G# at all that I can hear (except possibly incidentally in one of his glissandi). It strikes me that some of the charm of this duet has a source in the special way the fourth is treated.

Siempre ha tenido una tendencia minimilista, ahora ya ha visto la luz y se ha acercado más a Arvo Part y Schoemberg, etc. ¿Evolución lógica e inevitable? Quizás Los fans de King Crimson lo seguiremos echando de menos

I’ve been a fan since I first heard the album in 1970. Some of the best musicians to ever play rock music.
