I am sure the frames feel shorter due to the rocker on the Endless coming from flat on the stock frames 😎 Nice video man! I’m so far behind on my YT watch list 😅 I initially got the Endless 80s and changed to the 90s a couple months after on size 44 boots then changed my boots to size 40 and I skate both frames now but mainly the 90s on trail Do you feel like having the rocker and extra maneuverability makes your flow feel better and/or feel an increase in your skill level after skating then a bit? When I got mine it took couple days to get used to the rocker but then I could do things I never had on flat frames. Cheers bro! 🍻

Thanks Professor Will! Dude, I'm way behind my watch list too. There are new channels popping up every week on YT and I found out IG has a lot of great skating content like for aggressive, inline and especially quad skating (Not that I quad skate, but I still enjoy watching other quad skaters). The short answer is YES. I want to be careful with my word choices here. LOL In some aspects, the rocker and extra maneuverability unlock hidden moves I've never thought I could even do until I switched to the endless 84 trinity 255mm. Here are some examples: I can pivot my weight on the front wheels and shift my body weight to another angle (45 degree or more). It feels more natural. I'd never tried this movement on 275 frames. When going downhill slowing down speed by carving feels more natural (less efforts compared to the longer frame). 80 wheels feels slightly easier than on the 84s wheels. I haven't tried 100s on endless trinity 84 frames yet. Doing T-stops and cross overs feels a little bit harder on short frames as it's more unstable compared to longer frames. Over time, I'm sure I'll get use to the shorter frames. I also ordered longer frames (over 300mm) just to play around with it, but it's stuck in transportation. Hopefully, I will receive it before year end. LOL Cheers man. Hope everything is going well for you.

83a hardness wheels is WAY too soft on your stock K2 Trio LT skates. You need 88a hardness wheels for outdoor asphalt. I have 85a hardness 110mm and it feel walking through mud, compared to my 88a hardness wheels. Trust me, you will be a lot less fatigued since the rolling resistance is so much better with a harder wheel. I suggest Powerslide Spinner 88a hardness wheels.

That's a good point about hardness. I never thought hardness level was the reason why I felt more fatigue skating on my soft boots. I thought maybe it was just the soft boots compared to hard boots. Very good point. On all my hard boots, I have at least 85a hardness. Funny you mentioned Powerslide Spinner 88a as I own it now for a few months before I read this comment. Love it! I Have the 90s Powerslide Spinner. The soft wheels are good for smooth surfaces like tennis courts. It's good for indoor rink, but not great for urban skating. 88a are more difficult to find compared to 85a. I've seen a lot of 85a on Amazon, but not 88a. So far, Powerslide is the only brand I know that makes 88a. I purchased some 100s 85a Skt HP mainly due to the cheaper price. LOL I haven't tried it out, but now I'm thinking I should had went with the 88a. Appreciate the comment.

@@CatzzSkatesFamily Good hearing from you brother. Best wheels for speed outdoor... "Iqon aluminum core wheels" 80mm or 90mm, 88a. Instead of being plastic cores, they have solid aluminum spokes like a car wheel. Crazy amount of coasting... I definitely picked up another 2 mph average, using these wheels.

Appreciate it man. I love the 84 wheels on the 275mm powerslide frames. The 80 endless Trinity (255mm) with 84 wheels makes turning easier. Been rocking the 84s for months now. Some areas are not paved so it makes the 84s not as enjoyable as the 90s. Now, I’m rocking the 80s for the past weeks for cardio purpose. I am planning to buy longer frames (at least 300mm) just to experiment with it.

Love the content! I’ve been watching your videos lately as I love progression. I’ve noticed you being open to suggestions from your other videos, something is going on with your left stride. You kind of let it dangle out there at the end of the motion, your losing speed and it’s overall inefficient. Best to correct the form now as later on it will not be kind to you. Remember to pick that foot up and bring it back to the start of the motion. The fakie stuff is the same in a sense as going forward pick whichever is your stronger leg keep that one further in front of the other one (scissor) it’s not a good feeling going backwards with your feet even 😂 I know you’ve mentioned working out, Joey mantias 20 min quad killer is a great off skate practice. Soft vs. Hard is a terminology that is very misleading in this industry. Carbon boots (e.g. Seba CJ) are technically soft boots, but they are some of the stiffest boots in the industry. I think the distinction should be between floppy vs. stiff boots. A 100% plastic boot can be floppy (e.g. Them 909), while a 100% soft boot can be very stiff. Soft vs. Hard shell only takes a confusing sport and makes it even more so!

For better maneuverability a regular 243mm 4x80 set up is better than running 84's on a 275 mm frame meant for 90's. I think you might benefit from either a shorter frame/wheel combo or rockered set up either would be easier to skate than a flat 4x90. I have a frame called the Powerslide Combat 80 that came with some Powerslide skates, it takes 84mm or 80mm wheels and it has adjustable rocker axles so it can be ridden flat or rockered.
@CatzzSkatesFamily
@CatzzSkatesFamily 2 ай бұрын
Thank you for pointing it out. I thought if the wheel size physically fits on a 90 frame it should be okay. I did noticed the extra spacing using the 84s on the default 4x90 frame. I will look into the Powerslide Combat 80. Endless was the other brand I was thinking of buying eventually. I haven't tried rocker axles yes. I'm just getting my feet wet on hard boots. Price wise, I think the Powerslide frames are cheaper than the Endless.

LOL We love the summer time for traveling to water parks, beaches, shopping mall or any places that's family oriented. My kids are still young and like to spend time with me. BTW, Bunn also got her 1st official quad skates so we'll probably stop by our local roller rink more frequency on Sundays. Sunday morning is meant for more beginners/family. At night time, that's when all the pro quad skaters comes out. Also, morning time seems to be cheaper for admission. Actually, it's almost back to school time for NotDollie and Bunn. Lock up your dogs, hide your fish, Catzz is back!! 😂 Great to be watching a new video, with quite the impressive editing upgrade & general quality. Looks like that rest away from us gave ya some new ideas. I know I'm biased, but I dig the green & purple font at the beginning, with the grey blade silhouette in the background. Liking it, glad to see you feeling more free to be creative & make it "your place". Great to see you enjoying the stability of the hardboots. As you mentioned, the construction design of the K2Vos, they didn't have a second frame bracket on the outside edge of the skate, so the wheels always looked as though they weren't as "secure as they could be" with the double edged solid frame for both sides. That may be another reason why you feel much more stable on the powerslides. You did pick out a wicked spot to practice on, that is definitely a smooth paved parking lot, that could shelter you during the year, regardless of the storms or temperature. Either way, it's great to have you back. Your channel has always been quality over quantity, but all the extra time you put in definitely shows. Keep it up, skate safe, & look forward to more! haha Another Comment of the Year award! Really appreciate all the kind words. The intro logo took me some time to explore with the color palettes. At first, I had blue and purple, but it didn't pop out like the green and purple combo did. Good point. To be honest, I haven't skated on my K2 V2 for quite some time. It's like once you go HARD, do people go back to SOFT (In terms of Skating context)? I feel more confident skating in unknown environment on Hard Boots. I'm just doing basic movements, but I noticed my forward strides got more efficient compared to my older videos. I got more videos recorded and carving out some time to review and edit the videos. During summer time, it's very tricky as we tend to travel to different states and cities. Today I dedicated some time for my skating videos. I also recorded a lot of non-skating videos, but not sure if it's a good idea to upload here on this channel or not. I like both K2 and Powerslide brand for different reasons. For K2, I see most of their commercials focus more on fitness or casual skating. For Powerslide, I see a lot of skilled skaters pulling off very technical moves I can only dream of doing. LOL Appreciate the conversations we have on YT and IG. Hope your summer is going well.

One thing about the MyFit sock on Powerslide. You can cook them. I think about 80 degrees C (i'm in the UK so....Celcius for us) for around 20 minutes but check it out first in the manual BEFORE doing it. When done, put them back in the boot then wear them till cold. This helps to form them rather than waiting for them to wear in. I took the rails off and wore them for a bit while sitting down. I wouldn't walk in them like that obviously. Yes it is warm on the feet, but it should mold them to fit you, they should feel better after that. Might take a couple of goes too but still, quicker. Another thing. As witrh my NEXT 80s , same boot basically, where you can cut certain parts around the ankle area, sides and front at the top to also make a better fit but this should only be done when you know you are not returning them, check the Powerslide video on customising the fit and cutting those sections, they are marked on the boot with those indented lines inside. I think some people miss these points with Powerslide NEXT Boots. Unless they changed that but I do not think so. And the cuff is height adjustable, take the screws out from the sides then rotate the height adustable part 180 degrees to suit you.

Excellent. I didn’t know you could do more customizations to it. So far, the only thing I changed was swapping out the 90s for 84s for fitness purpose. I know it’s probably not optimized to put 84s on 90s frame, but it feels good. Powerslide allows me to jump more, which I don’t normally do on my soft boots. Have you ever adjusted the position of the frames?

Welcome to the Hardboot side! Great to see you after so long. Looking lean & healthy! Love to see it. Glad you finally decided on a pair, they should treat.you well. I know there will be an initial break in period, but after that, they will be extremely reliable. I would suggest to give yourself the width of two fingers from your shin to the tongue/ cuff of the boot. If it's too tight, not only will you feel it in your shins, but it'll feel "like wearing shackles" on your feet. That's an easy adjustment I'd recommend. You want to be able to bend forwards, & not feel restricted in any way. Other than that, looking great. To answer Bunn's question, "I definitely choose Hardboots over softboots, I find it has better stability, I feel more locked in & secure, & they tend to be able to take a bit more abuse from the streets/ urban environments than the softboots." Glad to see you begin this new upgraded chapter for your blading journey. 😎🤙

What’s up Neon! Thanks for those tips and answering Bunn’s question. I will try the two fingers width between the cuff and shin area. So far I love it. There are some things I like soft boots better than hard boots, but overall I feel like there are more benefits with hard boots over soft boots. Like you said specially in urban areas, wow, it makes a big difference. After wearing it several times, I don’t really feel any angle pressure. I’m saving up money to try other hard boots, frames and liners. Rollerblade brand is next on my list to try out. I wanted do a full video on soft vs hard boots, but my camera does not charge up anymore.

Great videos brother! The wide range sizing is due to having the same size shell but what changes is the liner size.

Thank you. Ah that makes sense. The liner is the secret to having a perfect fit. I will experiment with different liners in the future.

Hey bro love your videos! I hired a skate instructor recently and he corrected something I noticed you’re doing as well. When turning left for example, ensure the left leg is forward. Vice versa for right. Its hard to change the muscle memory at first, but once mastered turning game changed for the better 🤙🏽❣️

Thanks bro. Good point about keeping left foot straight when turning left. Skating is fun!

Nice looking skates for sure, I however also noticed something digging into my ankles on a pair I had a while back, and had to tug at the liner and tongue and make sure everything was tied up properly and that usually did the trick. Also you need to tie those up correctly..your lacing is only going through the bottom two eyelets... I lace mine to the top eyelets and then tie them, I dont weave it through the liner..personal preference. Do they hurt your ankles before you tie and buckle them?

Good tip about properly securing the laces and straps. I tried it with a more tighter fit and it did released some pressure points from the ankles. After wearing it for over 5 hours, I don’t feel any pains. Maybe I molded my feet into the liners and boots over time. I’m a big fan of hard boots now.

Congrats on the upgrade!! Hard boots all the way! I love the white Powerslides; they are slick! 🤍 When you first took off on them it looked like you accelerated speed quick 💪 You mentioned they feel like 84s in beginning compared to K2 90s; likely due to the fact that the K2 is long frame (lots of space between wheels) compared to shorter frame on the Powerslides 😎 (plus the lower ride height like you mentioned with Trinity mount) Glad to see a video! Been a while!

Thanks! Hard boots gives me more control. Good point about the length of the frame. I will experiment with different length sizes. Eventually, I will buy some endless frames. I need to set aside some money to fix my house. LOL It’s like never ending debt. It feels good to be back. I will need find a set day of the week for editing video’s consistently. I would to at least upload 1 video per week. At one point, I was publishing 3 videos a week, but it took a lot of my time away from other things. I got another issue. My Insta360 would not charge up anymore. I’m not sure if it’s due to the heat in my room without AC turned on for weeks. How you been?

@@CatzzSkatesFamily Endless frames are where it is at 😎 hope you get things squared away with little stress! House/car troubles is the worst! For me I have been trying to do one video and short a week but haven’t been too stressed about it! Helps to do everything on the phone so as to cut down edit time for me Wonder if your battery is dead, have you tried other batteries? If none charge may need to send it in, or get charging hub to charge batteries outside camera. I assume already checked the usual cords and charge block 😅 Been alright! Fractured my toe doing a flip last week (not in skates lol) but it is almost healed enough to skate again 🎉 9 days ago and was clean fracture with no dislocation
