In this video, I'd skated in Philadelphia, PA outside of Penn Treaty Park towards the Race Street Pier. Philly is a slang for Philadelphia, which is a common term among locals. This video was recorded on Mar. 16th, 2024 between 9:40am and 10:00am. I'm rocking my beloved K2 VO2 S 90 BOA in a busy shopping plaza. To date, this was the most traffic area I've dealt with while rollerblading.

Looking like you are gaining some major comfort in your skating man; seem more loose here!🔥 I am jealous of the nice trail next to the river; looks super nice to skate next to!! FlyBoy96 got those fire red FR1s with Endless frames 🤩 I bet he a cool dude to skate with 😎

Appreciate it professor. Through out the day I got more confident skating in this new area. This day really tested my skill level as I normally skate on concrete and asphalt surfaces. Dude, if you ever get a chance to skate in Philly, Penn Treaty Park to Delaware River Trail to South Philly is a must for all rollerbladers. You probably heard me mentioned how bad Philly is, but it also has nice areas for tourists. All the areas filmed and nearby on this day are great recommendations for tourists. If you like eating fancy or drinking beer, Old City and Center City are area locations for it. Like hoagie, cheesesteak or pizza? South Philly got so many spots for it. Bunn and NotDollie primary care are in center city so we drive downtown often. Absolutely, super cool guy! FlyBoy96 found me from my YT videos. First local skater I met and we clicked. We had a lot of great conversations off camera. Thank for watching my videos. I know there are so many skating videos out there and you always take your time to comment on my channel. Thank you for that too. 🙏

Great job and nice to see a guest. Still can’t get my head around how much you have to consider safety and crime- just not part of our make up in the UK.

Thank you. It’s something different. I normally skate solo for fitness purpose, but it was good to have someone to socialize. Outside of the city is safer, but living in the city is something I’ve dealt with since I was a kid. What I fear the most are innocent bystanders minding their own business getting killed who happens to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Nice to see you skating during the day time. It lets us see the great Philly views. You have been making great progress skating... I noticed how much you have been naturally going into the scissor position when going over the gaps and cracks. Really good progress for only skating for a few months. Loved the location you were skating in. It looks really nice. Is this one of the areas they are going to be skating during the Philly Free Skate? The asphalt at the beginning might intentionally be rough for the run off water when it rains.... so the water runs down the hill better. Nice to see you skating with Flyboy.... its always so much fun skating with other people. Do they have walkways on the Ben Franklin Bridge? The footage skating on there would be awesome.

Thank you for the kind words. It's great reading comments and responding back to it. Jan. 2024, is when I started having like a fixed schedule at least 2- 3 times a week (1 hour or more session) rollerblading hours. As of this video, I have about 60-75 rollerblading hours. Normally, I record while skating so that gives me a sense of hours when I add up all the videos duration hours. Only couple of times, where I skated without filming as my camera was broken. That was some depressing weeks for me. LOL Very good point about the asphalt at the beginning. I never thought about that until you mentioned it. Yes, there is a walkway path at the Ben Franklin Bridge. One of the guys in my old condo jogged on the bridge walkway daily and asked me to join him, but I was too chicken. LOL It looks too scary for me to be jogging up there let alone skating. That's a good idea. The other side of the bridge is Camden, NJ, which is not the safest area. To answer your question (I almost missed it. I had to go back here and edit my response), yes some of the areas in the videos will be in the Philly Skating Event routes: Penn Treaty Delaware River Trail Race Street Pier Old City

@@CatzzSkatesFamily I just googled the Ben Franklin Bridge is 134 feet above the river. If you think that one is bad... you should see the view from the Walkway Over the Hudson is almost double that height. The views from the Hudson bridge are breathtaking. Everything down below you looks so tiny. I recorded that one with my wife when we went away for a weekend. Nice to know quite a few places I have seen in your videos will be in the skate tour. I typically do 8-10 hours of inline skating most weeks. When the kids are out of school the indoor rink is open more and I go maybe 20-30 hrs per week indoors all summer. I also go outdoors. Most times outdoors I skate for 3hrs per day. 3 or 4 times per week. Some days I have done 12-14 hours between outdoor skating in the morning and indoor skating at night. The rink I go to has adult skates every other weekend on Friday or Saturday nights... if I stay for the adult skates which I do quite often I do 8 hours of skating on those nights.

I thought I was done commenting videos until I just got a notification from your reply. LOL Nice, I don't think I checked out the Hudson Bridge video from yours, but I will definitely check it out when I get a chance. Wow, 8-10 hours on average per week? I guess I'm more of a casual skater. LOL I really enjoy the fitness and exploration aspects of it. I've seen a lot of your shorts with the skating rink. It's look pretty cool there. I've only been to our local Philly skating rink twice with my family. It's great for family bonding. The kids are more into playing video games on their iPad. When it gets warmer we'll probably skate more as a family (I will skate more for sure and they will be on their bikes). The kids are still on their hand me down skates (from their cousins). I'm tempted to try ice skating this year! There are so many things I want to try out like buy my own hard boots rollerblading, quad skating and ice skating.

They sell this gear that can carry a selfie stick on a waist belt on the back. I think it cost around $150 or more.

Good suggestion. I’ve never thought about that. That could come in handy for certain angles recording. Wow, $150 is like half the camera’s price. LOL
