@Afrocentric-il8wb yep, and the sad thing about it all is that some students from completely poor backgrounds with no one to help them with some little money to top up the R300 allowance ended up dropping out because the money was not enough to last them an entire month, only for their fees and allowances to be paid later that year at around November when they had already left. At least some of us received some little financial support from back home to top up our R300 allowances and NSFAS finally paid my school fees in full at around August.

NSFAS beneficiaries across the country were not receiving their monthly allowances in full because the rest of the money was mistakenly transferred to one NSFAS beneficiary's account... Many students from disadvantaged backgrounds rely on those allowances and you're here talking about snitches as if this is American gangbang. Would you have preferred those students from disadvantaged backgrounds to keep living on bread and tea just to see another day simply because one selfish being decided not to do the right thing in the name of snitching? We were receiving R300 monthly allowances instead of our usual R1000 while this girl was spending the money on material things. Some students even dropped out because they were struggling to survive on a R300 monthly allowance, only for their allowances to be later paid in full around November of that same year when they had already left... It's really sad.

Nah it's not her money, she never worked for it. Any money sent to your account by mistake must be returned nd the law is very clear. Whether she should have kept quite or not they were going to find out that they made a mistake. Yes it's not her fault that the money landed in her account.. lack of knowledge will land you in hot water. Money doesn't just appear to your account and you think it's yours.call the bank and let them know about it or leave in the account and not spend a cent. Jail time for her.

It was still gonna be traced to her NSFAS account at the end of the day. Only if she used the money to built a house back home instead of wasting it on material things... The house would've been really worth it.
