The gum tree and its fruits are incredibly medicinal. I make a tincture from the dropped gumballs..it is tamiflu basically and is an amazing healing tree. We have all we need all around us but the connection has been lost. Nice video ofcourse love watching your art.

I remember as a child in south Florida, there were pods that looked like these but they were smaller and oblong. We would wrap yarn around them and hang them on Christmas trees. I don't remember what kind of tree they were from. If anyone knows, plus let me know.

What is it supposed to be? I like the idea behind it, just unclear if it's a jar, a vase, etc.

You're video popped up from the You Tube algorithm. Seeing the Sweet Gum seedpods on the still photo intrigued me into watching. I knew the colored resin and lathe would turn out (no pun intended) something unique and beautiful. I wasn't disappointed. You have a new subscriber.

One of these put odd things in a ton of resin and turn it videos where I actually like the end result. 💖 love that you didn’t choose blue for the resin, why anyone thinks blue looks good with wood amazes me. And the lid is spectacular, you’ll find someone to buy it just as it is. I stayed to watch because I wanted to see the finished piece, having trypophobia it could have looked creepy to me like others have mentioned. I, however, love this piece and it doesn’t trigger my fear.

Why th would it look creepy?... I think it looks amazing. A beautiful piece inside and out. If you choose to retouch any part of it, it's your call and I'm sure you can turn it even better. But for many of us it's already a stunning piece of art and a proof of how beauty can be created out of the simplest and most ordinary things other people would discard without a second thought.❤

Wow! Beautiful! We have two massive Sweet Gum trees in our yard and curse those darn balls every fall. I’ve often wondered if anything useful could be done with them, but never imagined something so handsome could be created with those prickly devils. If you ever need more, we could ship you a truckload or two.

So Beautiful! My Mom would absolutely want this. It reminds me of the when my sister was little and Mom would take us all over the neighborhood to find these in different yards so we could do Summer projects while out of school to keep us busy. We made all kids of things with them. WOW! If only we could have done something like this! Thank you for sharing your creativity with us!
