I think that the guest should not compete with the bride. The bride needs to be obvious. In photos, there can be no question who the bride is.

I'm going to a wedding in the USA in September, blacktie optional dress code. No white, offwhite, or any color or pattern that can appear white in photographs. For example, if the print is very small on a white or offwhite background is a hard no here. This is for the American culture in the US, not necessarily for other cultures in the US. I started using a wardrobe planner app. It has helped tremendously. Load all (or at least what you wear) in it and plan outfits. It let's you full statistics and cost per wear. It has helped me a lot to understand my style.

I would have the hardest time getting rid of the oldest shirt. There's a journal I like called Throw It Away by Guru Notebooks, seems to help me.

I find that clothes i love and work for me wear out and i can never find replacements.

Where do you live? There’s no way I could wear jackets and wool in the summertime in the USA.

We had so much fun and tried on some of the things from the "how" pile together with Dovile to mix in those pieces with the ones she is already used to wear. STEPS to declutter: 1. Pull what YOU WEAR (your "regulars") 2. Pull what you NOT wear and make 3 piles: - NO, don’t like - Like, but not now - Like but HOW? 3. Mix regulars + HOW's When you try on the things, make a list of the pieces you are missing and also you can pre-decide what shoe styles or/and colors would work the best. Hope that helps! Please can you tackle summer dressing for women who don’t suit white, black or muted colours. Personally, I don’t wear white trousers because I am bigger on the bottom half. I like navy trousers but I don’t know how to put together a chic/expensive look without using the standard muted colours or black and white. Summer is therefore very tricky for me. I know I can wear bright spring colours, but often these don’t look chic. I feel like hibernating through the summer because of this when everyone else is having fun with their dress style. It makes me feel miserable and I’m not a miserable person. Thank you!

OMG! Shopping for my "Fantasy Self" - Ugh I have done this so much in the past. Thankfully I "outgrew" it - (the clothes AND the mindset) ha, ha.🙄

There have been many moments in my life where I had to face changes: when I changed jobs, when my son was born, when my body changed due to menopause. In each of these changes I had to adapt my life and my wardrobe to the new situation. It wasn't always easy, nor always pleasant, but it was necessary and I did it.
