Thanks for the great video :) I really l liked it. I totally agree with you when it comes to skinny jeans. Now I only opt for straigh leg jeans or mom jeans :) I try to sell my skinny jeans. I have an oversized cropped denim jacket and I very much like pairing it with midi pencil skirts or dresses (even though I am a petite woman) in order to accentuare my waistline. So happy that recently I thrifted a leopard midi skirt. You are righ with skinny suit. I have one suit in my wardribe but I love it so much. A blazer has an oversized fit but pants are a little bit relaxed I bought this suit on vinted and I have tailored it a litttle bit . And a midi trench is also in my closet, mine is from zara but the quality is quite good and I really like wearing it best regards

Love your videos and wonderful guidance. I'm really at a point where I'm ready to ditch jeans altogether, regardless of shape or style because I find them very uncomfortable as I advance in years. I never could get a good fit in jeans, as they always slip down. I'd rather wear jersey knit anything! Dresses, skirts, trousers. Linen is good, too. Comfort is my #1 consideration.

I am 5'2" and pear shape. I'm not sure what length blazer to get to the hips? I think taller people even 5'3" look better in a lot of styles. People 5'2" and pear shaped are harder to style. I love watching for ideas! Thank you!

I have never had skinny jeans. My favorites were the 1990s baggie styles. They are Bach so I bought 3 Palazzo and one baggie flared.

Im having a huge issue with the baggy jeans and baggy oversized tops with exrra long sleeves. It's a proportion disaster, something that has been stressed in the fashion world forever. And today it's BEAUTIFUL, FRESH, 😢AND MODERN! 😂 I do straight, but never, ever these stiff wide styles. If a stylus told me to wear these shapes together, i would fire them.

I like the "faux leather biker jacket" a lot because the sleeves have a relaxed root look and could fit a chunky sweater sleeve inside. To me, the jacket has more in common with a cropped trench coat. Although it has a tiny zip and the front overlaps slightly, biker jackets zip farther to the side and higher toward the shoulder, and snaps and zips are chunkier and more prominent on a biker jacket. The hybrid that you wore is a nice combination of the two trends. On camera, the color appears more Toffee (or "squirrel" per your chart) and Burgundy looks more like dark cherries. I disagree with bright colors being out. Bright red is a classic accent that is timeless. It looks fresh with toffee and burgundy. Bright yellow greens are fantastic with dark avocados. I even like light aqua with olive, avocado or forest green. But it's the sweet and sour combinations that intrigue me most. Olive and pink or rust and pale blue. Balancing accessories makes it work. So much fun. Lifestyle, personal style/message and activity influence choices. Sophisticated colors are great for the office or a funeral, but I want to be more approachable at the grocery store, doctor's office, neighborhood gathering and gym. I want to look fun and friendly, not subdued and restricted. I like to wear dresses in summer, but I dress them down with flipflops or sneakers. Denim midi skirts scream fall and can dress up or down. I have used your suggested faux leather blazers since they've been made from washable fabrics. I just don't have the lifestyle for formal suits anymore. No regrets and loving the freedom to experiment. Nice video. I did get confused by the titles you put up. Sometimes your graphics suggested things to ditch and sometimes your graphics suggested things to ditch but you were really suggesting a trend to use, for example, see the leopard section. Did you intend your graphic to say to ditch florals?

Great insights and thank you for sharing! 🙌🎈 I feel colors is quite personal thing as for someone some combinatios might be very tempting while others can’t pull them off. Bright elements make the outfit more interesting and adds personality and if you enjoy that- you do you🌸 totally. Fashion should be fun and enjoyable 💯💃 and you have a very good eye for details, the tip #6 should meant to be named ‘florals’ 😂 thank you! ☺️

Wonderful! I will try new looks. Thanks to you! A quick question: I have a pair of straight jeans (not skinny,) and I also have a long oversized knitted sweater. How do I style that to have my figure more shaped (I have a pear-shaped body). Can i add a belt perhaps ? Thank you for your videos! I have tottaly changed my style thanks to you!

Thank you for your message and your question! I appreciatw having you here!🤍 with regards to your question, I think it’s important to make emphasis on your waist: tuckin in (or a half-tuck), a belt, a cropped jacket over, etc.- so that you get flattering vertical proportions 👯

Thank you for all the work you put into your videos… It’s interesting though because many many KZbinrs are talking about how skinny jeans are coming back in or are on their way back in… I saw them on the runway several times as well… So you might be saying you don’t like the trend, but it is a trend coming up…😂❤

Your channel is my favorite, even though I live in Australia and our seasons are opposite. This winter just finished, we have seen many of the styles mentioned, especially wide cut linen pants and jeans. Sadly, the skinny jeans are still around, mostly looking like women are wearing their underwear on the outside ! Mid length and cropped style trench coats have featured too. Many years ago, I used to think we were a season behind, but no more, our designers are up to date with current trends, even adding their own take on summer clothes, given our long summers and beach life. I follow European fashion and often browse and sew my own clothing from the beautiful Burda Style magazine patterns. Best wishes ❤🇦🇺

You know, yes it is possible to "save" skinny jeans and pair them with tall boots or hiking boots w/ sock (in this case leggings look good too) :)

Love all these suggestions, although we are heading into spring/summer here in Australia. Interestingly, I just bought two cute pairs of wide legged jeans and all the colours are gorgeous. I also have had a long love affair with leather jackets over the years, of all different styles and lengths, so it looks I shall be well covered where that’s concerned. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience. 🧚🏻♀️❤️🐝🇦🇺

Bit surprised at this video, as your content is all about personal style and most flattering look. Trendy rarely means better looking for many figures. I will keep my outdated fitted leather jacket as it is way more flattering on me than a trendy bomber-like looser style. Soon I can call it vintage, win-win 😅

Giedre, what are your thoughts about plus-size gals wearing flared jeans? Can they flatter us? There’s no question that they’re fun and a throwback to the 70’s, but that was when we were skinny little things. Pam Las Vegas, NV, USA

Do maxi skirts fit to pear shape bodies?
@giedre2 ай бұрын
Great question! And yes, totally🫶 it’s just a matter of a goos cut and material. A maxi with assymetric hemlime or slit or a wrap style in a structured fabric might look really nice, flowy materials in midi lengths should work as well! Also it’s important to keep the top not too long to get nice proportions 💃🎈

Since a few months, I decided to stop buying jeans even if the "grey slim jean and wool jumper" have been my uniform since I got my daughter. Almost all my jeans are ripped now. For the summer, I still have my jean shorts and lots of dresses. But, it's time to wear tailored pants again. All your tips on suits and tailored pants are welcome. Btw, do you have tips for very androgynous/gender neutral women (rectangular shape, no curves, short hair)?
