Your studio is just fabulous! I too love Victorian but have nothing near this wonderful. I could just sit in there all day and look at stuff lol. I'm in the process of setting up my craft room, after going without a crafting area for about 15 years. Next week I have a large Primitive cabinet being brought to me. I'm a bit late in watching this. I'm so very sorry for the loss of your dear husband. I've watched you for many years on your podcasts. I've always admired your creations. It was magical to see all of your collections. I was born in the 50's so it brought back many memories. You have such a lovely home. If it were me I may not put it all away after Christmas. All that Ikea furniture makes every craft room look alike . There is no character to them. When I see a craft room like this I am immediately drawn in to another place and time and I get lost in all the memories these old things possess. Oh how I would love to go back in time and visit with all those that once owned these beautiful pieces.

I have been going crazy looking for one, and none fit the bill except yours, it has everything listed the way it should be. Thanks so much. The catalog is just an Access Database I made myself. First I made a simple table listing all the fields I wanted then I designed the form for easy input. I used to make these types of things back before I retired from work, so my version of Access is 20 years old! But it still works. I know a lot of people use Excel - just putting the fields into a spreadsheet but I prefer the form style rather than scrolling, and scrolling... Thank you for your condolences and for visiting. I too maded new changes for my first Christmas without my husband he want to heaven 4/14/21..i know how you feel..your home is so beautiful..i use to have red decorations now I have turquoise and pink in my living room I went and bought all turquoise decorations for Christmas new change for me too

Wow...!! Now THAT is talent...!! Beautiful drawing of your cat.. & I LOVE the black on black, & especially liked it with just the cat's eyes were highlighted.. & then you added the whiskers.. Wow... & you created so much dimention when you did that... I take my hat off to you.. I truly do.. 👏🏽 & then when the camera closed in on the drawing at the end, & we saw the wonderful mark making... Beautiful...!! 👏🏽 You clearly have an excellent eye for detail & amazing drawing skills, which I greatly admire. (Despite studying BA in Fine Art I've always doubted my drawing ability.. but we won't go there..) Greetings & admiration from Wales.. & my deepest condolences on the loss of your husband. I appreciate what you are going through. (Grieving & loss is so hard, especially in Western society I find, where we are encouraged to "pull yourself together" & "move on" as if there is a time limit on feeling loss, heartache & sadness, & all the mixed emotions that go with it.. Sigh........ I think there's no right or wrong way to cope with bereavement, & we take each day at a time.. & eventually 1 day, the pain eases a bit, then a bit more, & then it hurts like hell again, & maybe floors us just when we thought we were coping better, then it hurts a bit less... It's a bit like a roller coaster... But eventually, in time, the pain does ease & we even find we are able to focus more on the nice memories (& even the bad) without so much pain & without feeling overwhelmed by how devastated we feel... Hang in there.. Take things a day at a time, & in your own way...) I hope you find peace in your drawing, finding new (& old) ways to create your decor, & cwtching (that's hugging/snuggling in Welsh) with your cats.. They are great companions I find.. Solidarity from Wales.. PS: had to watch the last few minutes of your video again, & zoomed in this time as you were adding the highlights to his eyes, ears & whiskers.. & it brought tears to my eyes, as I realised the drawing of your cat, especially the eyes (expression) & the whiskers, looked so much like 1 of my cats who sadly passed away just before Xmas.....

I am so touched you sent such a wonderful message. Yes, it's been hard - even with the one year anniversary of his passing coming up soon, I find some days are so very difficult still. I am so glad you enjoyed this video and that it brought back memories of your black cat. Dakotah, my model for this 3 years ago, passed at age 18 in January so I know your grief as well. It's a slow road back to creativity but I am trying to keep busy when the good days come around. My sincerest good wishes to you and yours and much appreciation for taking the time to send me such good advice. All the best.

Your home is beautiful. I also spent my first Christmas alone this year. My husband passed away in September. We were married 35 years. It was really tough wasn’t it? My heart goes out to you. I am so sorry for your loss. I loved the idea of a memory tree. I may do that next year. Big hugs to you.
