I think at this point we have come to expect hellacious playing from them, but what really sets them apart is the songwriting. They never sound repetitive, within a song or between songs. Combine that with their raw capability and it's simply amazing.

The songwriting is really strong. Something a lot of bands lack. Musicians can shred, but can they write interesting songs. This is what sets them apart from other bands. Romeo writes amazing songs. Dream Theater writes amazing songs. Lovebites writes amazing songs. Lovebites songs are so catchy. Great hooks, melodies, and solos that stick in your brain. Songs that you can listen to over and over again.

You don't think think they sound repetitive? It's a good song and the musicianship is on point as it almost always is with LOVEBITES, but it fits their formula: driving double bass, Midori solo, Miyako solo, dual solo, keyboard backing track, Asami belting, buried bass. Take a drink for every song of theirs that fits that description. I like this song, it's one of the better songs on "Judgement Day," but aside from the nice descending riff, this song kind of blends into a lot of their other songs from the past. I'm eagerly awaiting the next "Frozen Serenade" or "Spellbound," something where LOVEBITES takes a risk and gets outside of their box.

@@PaleHorseShabuShabuno, I don’t think they sound repetitive either. True, they have a formula, but it’s both comforting and refreshing at the same time. By that I mean that no matter how many times it is used, the introduction of the Harupi Artillery Battalion into a song is both familiar and yet compelling…it commands attention. Spellbound and Puppet on Strings are examples of their willingness to experiment, but LOVEBITES do not need every song to sound unique to sound refreshing. Judgement Day the album is, for me personally, the most complete metal album this 64 year old has ever heard. And it’s *BECAUSE* there is always one thing in every LOVEBITES song that makes it unique that is the reason they have a 100% record in their song catalogue. The *ONLY* band I have ever experienced with not a single album filler in 56 individual songs.

Yes, I totally agree with you about Romeo and Symphony X. 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼 And yes, I hear some Symphony X influence in Lovebites songs! Which is one of the reasons we love this band so much. 😉 This video is from their upcoming concert Blu-ray, which will be released August 28th. I already have it pre-ordered. Thanks for another great reaction video! 🔥🎸🔥

This was the first song on Judgement Day album and one of my favorite songs when the album came out last year. Though there was a live version of this on KZbin this official one has a great mix and I was able to watch the premier a couple days ago. Its great to see the Metal Queens getting exposure on KZbin with 25 reactions to this song and version and counting.

I am out of superlatives to describe this band. A blend of beauty, elegance, energy and musicianship, and with a great appreciation for their fan base. I got to do the 'meet and greet' with them at the New Cross Inn in London last month. They had arrived in the UK from Japan only a few hours earlier, played a show at a very small and less than ideal venue having to overcome difficulties with the sound set up, and were due to leave for Belguim to play another gig the next day. And yet they were more than happy to meet and chat with fans, who by this point must have been somewhat ripe (it was very crowded, hot and humid in the venue, and we were all perspiring heavily by the end of the gig) They made this old Rocker very happy. Thank you Ladies for being so Awesome. 🤗 🐺

LOVEBITES - We Are the Resurrection lyrics: Blowing storms, Rising shadows Thunder roars, Appearing once more No one knows, Trouble and struggles What we've been through, Where does justice go? With the soul burning endless inside me We will hold all the promise we made Staring in silence Feeling the weakness Creeping up on me Building up walls but this is my way All the pain Will make you stronger The answer is all inside of me Through the dark, what we have all been waiting And the land that is laying beyond determination Reflower of roses The beginning of your stage Leave all of the deep sorrow and starting this new journey This beautiful melody will purify everything Free yourself, strong and bravely Believe in the way you are SOLOS: midori / miyako / both Blowing storms Rising shadows Thunder roars Appearing once more No one knows Troubles and struggles What we've been through Where does justice go? With the soul burning endless inside me We will hold all the promise we made Staring in silence Reflower of roses The beginning of your stage Leave all of the deep sorrow and starting this new journey This beautiful melody will purify everything Free yourself, strong and bravely Believe in the way you are ----- lyrics: asami music: midori, asami & Mao arrangement: Mao & LOVEBITES album: Judgement Day 02/22/2023

A new EP and a live DVD/Blu-ray both will be released on August 28. „LOVEBITES EP II“ will contain new songs and also re-recording of the band’s debut „THE LOVEBITES EP“ in a limited edition. „Memorial of the Warrior Souls“ is the live recording of last year‘s Tokyo concert during the Judgement Day tour. It features 7 live versions of songs from the „Judgement Day“ album including „Soldier stands solitarily“. And also the pre-release „We are the resurrection“ which was the opening track for this show.

That didn't take long lol. Video just dropped 2 days ago.🤘🤘. Judgement Day album opening track, followed by the title track. "We Are the Resurrection" lyrics by Asami, she and Midori wrote the music. Great song, so glad they posted this live version. On another note, would you be interested in checking out an up and coming Canadian band? 3 piece, partly influenced by The Warning, they are "Freeze the Fall" out of Kelowna ,BC. Just dropped a live video , about the same time you dropped this video, for their song "Masquerade"

Thanks for returning to LOVEBITES. A few weeks ago, LOVEBITES got a pic with Babymetal backstage at one of the European festivals. Given how on fire Babymetal is right now, I'd love to see the two groups do some sort of collaboration. That would get a lot of new eyes on LOVEBITES and would likely result in another out-of-the-box song from LB where I think they're done some of their best work.
